"boo hoo"

>I like democracy, but only when my side win.

she wants to magic the uk back into the eu because there's no other way that retarded boomers would allow the country to remain before heaping their stupid shit on "durr millennials" in their final death throes out of sheer irrelevance

She wants to magic away the right of us plebs to vote because she's a champagne socialist

>a decision based on blatant lies and emotion
>democratic
You might want to read up on what the pillars of democracy are.

Also RIP UK academia. You will be missed.

she mad

Well, I guess every political system has its bad sides.

>Democracy is flawed because the will of the people is fickle and subject to manipulation.
>I know what will solve it! We'll just have, like, a guy.. whose whole job is to keep an eye on the democratic process, and decide when it's working or not. He gets an absolute veto of anything he feels was manipulated or based on "lies."
>Of course, to decide what is and isn't a lie, and what really is the Will of the People, he'll need to be a smart guy. He'll need to know the Truth, and be in touch with What is Good for the People.
>Hey, that's me! Wow!
>Damn, I'm such a nice guy, looking out for the people and all.

t. every single leftist

MEME MAGIC

It's crazy to think kids think old people shouldn't be allowed to vote as if they themselves aren't going to become old fogies with the "wrong opinions" in the future

Magic is real.

It's happening.

no it's not, it's just mass hysteria. Not even 24 hours has passed. Wait at least a week before judging

>t. every single leftist
t.idiot

that's what he said

>t.idiot

There's only one leftist?

this woman is so annoying

Jesus Christ, stay the fuck out of politics, it's not for you and you know nothing about the topic, you tool

>if people disagree with me it's because they are uninformed
ok buddy

youtube.com/watch?v=Zqf_RnEK4uE
absolutely delicious tears lads

this makes me happy

Dare to dream. Let hope and history rhyme.

and the majority of people in northern ireland consider themselves British. Are you going to ethnically cleanse them like you did with the anglo-irish?

RIP UK

AHAHAHAHAHA

RIP EU is more like it

>old people know everything

this is what defines the thinking of the right wing -- dementia and alzheimer's

We said the same thing about Brexit.

>Young people know everything!
>That's why we don't let them do anything until they're 18!

brava leftist

brava

Brexit is totally different, there is no way in hell that the people of northern ireland will leave the uk: 50% of them consider themselves british and still remember the atrocities the irish committed just 20 years ago. And only 30% of irish in NI want to leave the UK anyway.

>It's now clear I am more European than English. I have more in common with my neighbours that I do my homeland. I am marooned on an island adrift.

>Europe is fragmenting, perhaps a reflection of the world we live in. If only people could have seen past the xenophobia masquerading as nationalist hope.

>I pity those who voted leave, their blinkered vision stealing our fate. I’m angry with the older generation, hermetically sealing our state. But mostly I feel shame, shame on behalf of my forefathers, dying for an ideal that was simply too great. :(

Glad the result is inspiring people to be creative on facebook :^)

It's better than all the Donne references.

>the generation that won World War II and suffered through poverty and hunger telling the generation that puts dildoes up their ass to fuck off
feels great

>won wwii
Britain wasn't part of the SSSR user.

Unionism is bad for literature.

>look mom, I'm acting stupid because I know I'm in the wrong!

I still think you're trolling, but the generation that won WWII is mostly dead.

This. The best European lit comes out of periods of instability.

the Greatest Generation is mostly dead you idiot. It's the baby boomers that have once again sold our generation up the river because of muh immigrants muh pension muh NHS

>people who worked all their lives shouldn't receive the pensions they paid for
>but immigrants who came here last week should have their five children family housed and fed at the taxpayer's expense
lol, so much for the left caring for the working class

>implying the whole referendum wasn't lies and emotion on both sides

The game is rigged, user. It was nothing more than political farce intended to capitalise on the fears of the working-class and obscure the radical shift in power at work within the tory government.

God knows what's coming next.

>defending actual degenerative diseases

Boomers did none of that. They were born and raised in the greatest prosperity the west ever saw after the war. Now the fact that millenials have trouble finding jobs in the shit economy they created is just cause they can't pull themselves up by their bootstraps, like when their shitty entry level job in 1970 allowed them to support five people in a nice house.

>the immigrants that pay more in taxes than they receive should pay for it while they work the bulk of public service jobs

let's get ol' granny cleaning the toilets shall we

>the soviets
>sacrifice their lives fighting hitler
>the british
>stay home on their island and play with computers

Brexit has done great to show that the left and the neoliberals are one and the same

Jesus Christ, clearly both the left and the right has problems. Nobody is correct across the board, and as cheesy as it sounds, working together and trying to see things from other perspectives is probably the best way to go on complex issues.

not all immigrants are the same, honey :)

I'm sure Frenchmen working in the City pay a lot in taxes

>working together and trying to see things from other perspectives is probably the best way to go on complex issues.

you mean staying in the EU? have i got some news for you

>immigrants aren't part of the working class

immigrants voted to leave

This is the type of moronic false equivalency that drove people out to vote Leave against their better interests. Corporations may not pull out of jobs and money already tied up in the UK, but you better believe they aren't going to be making investments until they see which way the chips fall, which will be at least a couple of years. The British currency has already dropped 10% in only 18 hours

Defending retarded baby boomers while they fuck you and your future children up the ass is not going to win you any brownie points outside of /pol/.

>The British currency has already dropped 10%
no it didn't
this is far worse for the EU than it is for the UK

not even him but dang nigga that's some pitiful reading comprehension you have there

he meant working together across the political spectrum, not across the channel. Plus, the referendum is not a simple instance of a left/right split - plenty of tories campaigned for remain, and labour themselves lost its traditional base in industrial areas up north when they voted pretty clearly in favour of leaving

Nice change of subject.

the ones who don't work aren't :)

the pound is already recovering, short-term drops caused by volatility don't last, the same thing with investment

millennials don't even have children, so lol at that

and the idea that we should never do anything that might upset the markets because "muh GDP" is pure neoliberalism apologia

i know what he meant dumdum

I was talking about in general. I'm American and therefor not a part of the EU, but the left and right split in the U.S. is pitiful and I didn't mean a total unity of ideas (the EU), I just meant more empathy in the whole spectrum of political debate and policies.

manchestereveningnews.co.uk/news/greater-manchester-news/pound-exchange-rate-dollar-usd-11518558

cmaaan dude check yo facts, it might have risen a little since then but it's still doing terribly

the left will never, ever understand right wing thought

>the ones who don't work aren't :)
>the reserve labour army isn't a part of the working class
:):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):)

very funny, but a more apt description would be "parasites living off of the sweat of working people"

The right will never consider normal people as real human beings.

>it might have risen a little since then
ding ding ding
it's a temporary shock caused by bad speculation
in other news, Britain's stock market has fallen less than Germany and France's
again, this is far worse for the EU than the UK

Both sides of the argument were a clusterfuck of lies. You're just mad that the wrong lies won.

sort of demonstrating the point
the left unironically believes that right wing thought is some mystical evil that comes from nowhere

"If you're not a liberal when you're 25, you have no heart. If you're not a conservative by the time you're 35, you have no brain."

You're right that's way more accurate! And of course those previously mentioned pensionars never profited of western imperialism!
:):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):)

it's not mystical but it does come from nowhere. right wing thought is the most schizophrenic and nonsensical of all ideologies

well that's bad too right?

>comes from nowhere
No, it comes from the upper classes.
>the two choices are liberal and conservative
Americunt detected. Good luck with future president and intellectual giant Donald Trump.

once again proving the point
not if you hate the EU

the left is now and increasingly a coalition of foreigners, welfare dependents, various kinds of sexual deviants, young people doing useless degrees in university, and the caviar and champagne millionaire brats "leaders of the proletariat" a la Laurie Penny

the actual working class votes less and less labour and more and more nationalist, all over Europe, as the middle class has for decades

normal people are all in the right

western imperialism was as a whole massively unprofitable and only pursued for dick-measuring contests with other European nations

i mean for the people who live there

Once again proving the point.

the people who can actually be said to have profited from imperialism are the established wealthy families like David Cameron's and those of the wealthy bankers and corporate leaders

curiously, these people all wanted to remain in the EU

I'm not sure I understand what the big deal is. Don't Britons just want independent from the EU? There's no necessarily reason why the British economy can't thrive on its own merits, without EU policies driving it.

Although I don't necessarily disagree with the EU's current policies on some issues, I don't think any centralized form of world economics or government is the best idea. Any institution can be prone to corruption or weakness, and if you have a collective of nations under the same centralized form of government, then they all suffer for it.

Political diversity is just as important as biological diversity. Weaker nations have to be allowed to fall, or make way for revolution, or evolve into stronger nations.

>the actual working class
>only straight white people are working class

>i mean for the people who live there
the destruction of the EU will be great for Europeans

Just interested, where are you from?

racist bigot FUCK OFF love is love

oh, ok then

Yeah, let's go back to a time when there was no EU, let's go back to a time where European countries were constantly at war with each other. Sounds like a plan!

that's about right

have some fucking faith in your people you aphid

The U.S. I admittedly know very little about politics in the U.K., which is why that post was phrased more as a question than an opinion piece. I am genuinely curious what the voters' reasons were, for or against.

lol

kiddo, the reason European countries stopped going to war with each other is because they were in a shambles after WWII and were American vassal-states

the EU has only created and exacerbated tensions between countries in the last few years, not relieved them

I have zero faith in the nationalist and conservative fucks that are trying to tear Europe apart. Too many people are too easily influenced by populist politicians.

Or maybe she's just voicing her opinion on how she wanted things to turn out? Not everything is some /pol/ redpill revelation, kid

>posted from phone built by asians using metals mined by africans

it's leftism's complete capitulation to neoliberalism that is producing the conditions of virulent nationalism
you'll be reaping the rewards for many years and you'll deserve it

>I care more about neoliberal hegomony than ending starvation.

Would you vote for decentralising the US completely, and abolishing the national government in favor of the individual states?

>Just interested

Shitlibs always begin like this when they're getting ready to fling ad-hominem shit.

>Um, just curious, but...
>I'm interested to know what...

It's so fucking spineless. At least the morons on /pol/ flat out say "lmao nigger detected".

not him but I definitely would

Yes. Splitting up the U.S army would be great for world peace.

Nigger are you insane? Boomers were born during WWII, but grew during the 50s and 60s, some of the most prosperous years the modern west ever had

>people arrant allowed tone disappointed in the results

Well I'm not a fan (putting it mildly) of neoliberalism either, so I guess I'm just fucked anyhow.

I mean if you're an actual leftist then there's no way around the fact that you have no future
