I have a very efficient method me and my colleagues have developed in identifying unknown compounds. Virtually no downsides, but getting the program funded has been a pain
All you have to do is first post mass spec and melting point at std temp. Next I'll need IR spec info and GC on purified crystals, then finally nmr of purified substance in a miscible deuterated solvent. You'll have to repeat each of these tests approximately 10 times to account for error and statistical anomaly. This way we conserve our potentially rare substance while still getting a slight idea of what it is. There's a 33% ID success rate on initial 1kg sample with another 3% per additional kg provided. A whopping 5% of sample material tested can be salvaged, so all of it doesn't even get destroyed!
take it to a vet
Weed brah
