Not because of brain mass, but yes.

Baiting faggOP, go home fisherman, you're autistic.

What would happen if a human was born with an orca brain? Would they be smarter than John von Neumann?

their mother would die in childbirth probably

its all about the surface area and how deep the sulci go

LOL

No. They would probably just do shit that killer whales do. Most likely would try to free themselves from doing tricks for humans and just end up drowning themselves before too long. It'd make a great movie though.

It's all about the wiring, bitch.

>I'm Jesse Pinkman

wtf

do orcas have a super advanced society we don't know about?

Yes, their evolution is driven by culture and eerily don't eat humans in the wild.

It's considerably likely that the reason the Orca whale's brain is so much larger, is that it requires more brain mass to support the whale's basic biological functions.

In short, it has a big brain because it needs to regulate its big body (4u), and not because it can ``think comparatively harder than a human"

most animals are wise/evolved/smert enough to not breed in captivity

most animals

big brains for remembering the swimmings in the 3d water. scummy humans and their barely 3d flat earth.
- me, orca

Funnily enough, animals with big brains actually have big neurons. So even though, the human brain is smaller than the Orca brain is size, the human brain contains more neurons.

Sorry I meant:
>Big animals with big brains have big neurons

Parrots have the language ability of a 3 year old with a brain the size of a cashew. It's all about how it's wired and the relative density of neurons to support cells, not the size. Whale and dolphin brains are fatter because they live in a cold environment and they have to process 3D information from their echolocation. Their frontal areas are developed mostly for killing for fun and what feels good around the genitals.

We only use 10% of our brains, so yes.

It would overheat.

Seriously now, we all know it's body size to brain size ratio which dictates intelligence. Which begs the question why aren't midgets super geniuses? They have a normal sized brain but a tiny body. And what would happen if you took a normal human, and cut off their amrs and legs thus reducing their body mass. Also are fat people dumber?

>Also are fat people dumber?
On average, yes. For reasons other than sheer volume.

>Are fat people dumber?

Yes. This has been proven in countless studies. Of course stupid people are more likely to get fat in the first place, but being fat also actively destroys the brain.

The real question is do elephants have culture?

Yes. They gather plants and self medicate, which clearly demonstrates exchange of information and evolving / persistent culture.

>It's considerably likely that the reason the Orca whale's brain is so much larger, is that it requires more brain mass to support the whale's basic biological functions.
Actually it's that its neurons are larger.

Not with the small human body that cant provide enough energy to use it.

Depends if you mean born with the brain size of an orca or successfully transplanted an orca brain. Being born with this brain would make you smarter, but years of evolution would need to take place for adaptation.

Brains are equipped to serve average human proportions. It does not acclimate for physical outliers which is why the inverse doesn't happen for tall people.

Years of evolution would need to take place for the adaption.
