I'm not trying to be a meme here but there were apparently a lot of gay men involved in the creation of fascist thought. This isn't a bad thing, and the persecution of gays or really any sub-minority in a fascist nation's "base" is very antithetical to fascism.

In Mishima's and my own case, you could argue that the aestheticization of violence mixed with the celebration of masculine vitality in fascism are what appeal to the homosexual psyche. Fascism implies a radical seizure of power that if you're some kind of queer studies fag you could say is attractive to the homosexual male who feels his masculinity is undermined, and his place in society hurt by stigma.

Pure speculation though, not something I really hold to.
