Anyone else know how deep the cannabis rabbit hole can go? When you smoke enough where you're just a hair's width away from greening out, what are the effects and how similar are they to other drugs?
I've smoked a fair bit of weed in my day but no matter how much good shit you smoke it doesn't compare to real psychedelics.
"greening out" is just where you get sick, or you can even pass out. once when I smoked a bunch while on a few adderall I had excessive ear ringing, everything went brown (blurry, darkened vision) and I couldn't think at all, went away after a few minutes.
all in all I'm convinced cannabis in excess is bad for your heart, teeth, gums, vitamins/nutrients and cognitive ability.
Trust me when you have zero tolerance after months without and take a large, large dose of oil, it's psychedelic and psychedelic like for sure, there is no doubt, literally I'm having open eye visuals right now
You can trip pretty hard on cannabis. This is coming from somebody who's done DMT, taken a legendary amount of shrooms in his lifetime, and generally tripped the fuck out a lot on a lot of things.
If your tolerance is low enough and the weed is strong enough, you can have full-on hallucinations with your eyes closed. This is true whether you're fried already or not. Once you've been far out enough on psychedelics, or if you've done them recently, weed can call forth some of that psych's effects. If you're permanently fried enough, tripping a little can just become part of smoking weed.
Personally, one of the strongest and strangest trips I've ever had was entirely cannabis-induced, and it took place before I had ever done normal psychedelics. Anybody who says you can't trip on weed hasn't tried hard enough.

Yep. This is what I disliked about weed. It separated me from the stream of my thoughts and I was rendered just able to watch them pass by. It would also trigger mental regressions and take me back to other times, then just dump me there. No means for shifting my state, control of any avenue is blocked.

Afterwards I'd be burnt for ~3 days, stupid and feeling as though I was moving in slow motion (similar to the drifting moonwalk effect of being very high). Then a severe irrational depression would set in for 2+ days, where I'd be borderline incapable of making eye contact with other people. I'd just sit around and stare at a wall, thinking how I should probably kill myself.
You've just got anxiety that's exacerbated by weed.
I don't think it's really a "just" matter, but yes, I do have terrible anxiety. But that's not to say I become paranoid when smoking.
A few things are probably relevant in my case:

I had that happen for months, then it went away.
I only smoked for a month or so, on and off. Maybe 3 times per week.
This was years ago, I don't know how it'd be now. From getting it second hand, probably much the same. There's just too much of an unpleasant edge.
Well I smoked and loved it for a couple years, then had at least a full year when I smoked and it was like that, but pushed through and it's fine again.
