How hard is to win the nobel prize of literature?

How hard is to win the nobel prize of literature?

10/10 stupidest question I have seen on Veeky Forums

Quite.

the fact that you even ask this question tells me you're not gonna make it

Because a bunch of cucks are in charge of it.

Just be a woman minority.

this, picture related

Too many cunts.

You realize they aren't minorities in their own country, right? It's an international prize.

it's not that difficult
someone wins it every year
just wait long enough, it'll be your turn eventually

Jesus, could those quotes be anymore pretentious.

>pretentious

what do you think the pretense is?

that is not the only definition of the word, user

camus won it so it can't be that hard

I know right? Also Hemingway and he is so entry level.

Just write somrthing cool

>white,

nearly all the people on the list in are white

>middle-class,

they are almost certainly all middle class

>straight,

i bet nearly all of them are straight

>cis-gendered,

can't see any trans people in that picture

>male?

7/12 of them are male

>American

there is your problem user. stop being so parochial.

you're still wrong, no matter how much you try to humptydumpty the word. those quotes are from the nobel committee, which is made up of academics and professionals etc. they are actually smart people for whom that kind of quote is normal speech. if you think it is pretentious, the chances are that actually you are the pretentious one.

>5/12 women
>less than equal is still too much
well memed

Authors who have not won a Nobel Prize include:

Joyce
Nabokov
Ibsen
Tolstoy
Conrad
Kafka
Borges

Honestly, awarding a translingual literary prize seems like a fool's errand anyway.

>he posted the "Hemmingway is entry level" meme again

...

I never understood the Hemingway hate here.

He writes at a sixth grade reading level, and pseuds think that's a bad thing.

Ibsen doesn't deserve shit.

t. Strindberg

Borges openly complained about never getting a Nobel. The Swedecucks didn't want him because Borges accepted a recognition prize from the Chilean military dictatorship aided by the United States with all the political bullshit that implies, although Borges didn't hold any strong political belief and just accepted it out of courtesy.

Conrad deserves every prize he can get, but we both know that he wouldn't have wanted that.

Camus might not be stellar but go fuck yourself anyway.

That was sarcasm. I actually like him a lot. And he is fucking amazing. Only plebs really hate him.

hemmingway*

It's lost its prestige since they began awarding them to writers for political purposes.

reading 2009's winner and honestly i usually go until chapter 5 before I toss a book and this one is asking for it at chapter 2 tbqh f am

I don't think want to give it to any """white males""" since Knut Hamsun mailed his nobel prize to Goebbels.

>Kafka
Wasn't particularly know in his lifetime.

It takes all sorts to make a world, we can't all be patricians. You do you.

Good point; I forgot about that.

Who do you think will win this year? Who do you hope for?

umberto eco died so i dont care anymore reeeeeeeeee

Personally I hope for pinecone btw.

if Kertész got one, anyone can

KRASZNAHORKAI WHEN

Maybe in these days it's easier because there isn't a very good author. If you're good and lucky you can make it.

I'm Swedish and have some insight to the committee, AMA (except who'll win this year - naturally I don't have THAT much insight).

They're very honorable in my opinion, and do their job well.

>have some insight to the committee
Could you elaborate?

Light 7 I'd say.

just write some lefty gibberish that panders to Swedish sensibilities and they'll give you one

maybe even two

nu snackar du skit, kompis

>kompis
REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

what's your insight beyond "im swedish"
