There is only one correct answer.

5

1 is the only small one
3 is the only green one
4 is the only borderless one
5 is the only circle

therefore all of them are "special" in some way, 2 is the only non-"special" of them, which means it's the actual odd one out.

6 coz it's not in the picture ;)

riddle time?

5 because pi goes on forever, the other squares have an EXACT area

$2

cost isn't the same as price my man

2 is the only large red square with a border.
Also, 2 being the only non-special object makes it a special object.
The answer is obviously the collection of glyphs above the 5 shapes.

$1 plus half its price.

wrong

Right.

2 is the only one with no unshared characteristics.

This. You can discard all of them but the number 2.

what if the radius of the circle is 1/sqrt(pi)

what's the difference then?
Protip: I looked up the definitions for both. Each definition contains the other word.

Who the ever-living fuck made this and for what purpose?

Hmmm just thinking loud:

There are four properties of objects (size, color, border, shape). There are four object that have properties: Size = large, color = red, border = true, shape = square.
Of all objects, (2) agrees with all of these "default" values. Is it logical that odd one is the most generic one? :)

I made it for fun

The second "one" is the unique "one" because it is used as part of an idiom instead its usual use as denoting a specific quantity.

This

It depends.

By size: 1
By colour: 3
By border: 4
By shape: 5

Any other answer is just wrong.

1, 2, 3 and 5 are all homeomorphic to each other, but 4 is not.

...

Which one did you leave out, and why?

1 + x = y
X = .5y
1 + .5y = y
1 = .5y
Y = 2 dollars. Easy algebra.

Interesting logic, user. Nice

Is 2 not an odd one out of your list?

2 is the only one that shares at least two characteristic with the rest.

Four has no border

But 3 is green

but it has a border

But all the rest are red

but 1 is small

1,3,4,and 5's uniqueness or novelty is not dependent on a comparison to 2

But you no longer have a big, red, bordered square

but wouldn't that make square 2 the only square with a black border?

>1 is the only small one
>2 the only large red square with a black border
>3 is the only green one
>4 is the only borderless one
>5 is the only circle
2 is still the odd one out because it's the hardest to define

1.5 * 1 = 1.5
1.5 * 1.5 = 2.25
1.5 * 2.25 = 3.375
...

the price is infinite

That requires two properties, every other shape only needs one property.

Maybe you could go with "2 is the only shape which requires two properties to differentiate".

Well except that's a paradox.

This

>guaranteed replies.jpg

shut the fuck up
>kill yourself please

but its true these images were designed to bait people into replying and the threads just go on and on because there is never a right answer.

2, it is less unique than the others

But there is a right answer and many people have gotten it.

2.
it's literally the only large, red, bordered square

green obviously. they're all generic shapes so the one that stands out is the diffferent colored one

I have red-green color deficiency. The first thing that popped out to me was the fuzzy shape, the one lacking a clear black border.

It costs $1 in a shop where small change gets rounded down to the nearest dollar.

To everyone saying 2, OP said the odd one out. Learn to read directions.

OP here. I think you're very confused.

OP asked for the odd one out.
The small red square is an odd number, is number one, and is on the outside of the group.
Q.E.D.

c=1+c/2
c=2

>this many replies for this thread

My answer is 1, because it has the lowest vote rate.

4, it's the only non-prime

> 1 is prime

4 its not part of the fibonacci series

OP here. I like how when I posted this on Veeky Forums, the correct answer on the poll went up 3%.

2 has three similarities with every other shape.
Every other shape has three similarities with 2, and two similarities with all remaining shapes.

Therefore 2 is the odd one out.

-1/12

My native language is not english and I don't know if there is any difference between price and cost.

If there is no difference, then here are 2 solutions.

solution 1:
x=1+x/2
x-x/2=1 (x = 2x/2)
2x/2-x/2 = 1
x/2=1
1*x = 2*1
x=2

solution 2:
x=1+x/2 (*2)
2x = 2 + x
2x - x = 2
x = 2

If there is a difference, then there is not enough information to answer the question. Because we end up with a single equation with 2 unknowns:
y = 1 + (x/2)

OP, provide source for the right answer.

Looks like you said 2.

...

But it's the most alike every other shape
How is that not a special thing
How is not being special not a special thing when you're the only one that isn't special

I guess I watch too much anime?

>using two variables

Is that not what algebra is all about?

Defining x as just being half of y was kind of pointless to be honest. But whatever really, you'd have to be a fucking autiste to actually care.

Jesus, what happened to strawpoll?
