C) there are no micronutrients
The first two are much more likely to cause you to over eat because you don't need to actually digest sugar, it more or less goes straight to your blood stream and then your body over produces insulin to put things back in order because high blood sugar can fuck you up, but it ultimately crashes your blood sugar making you hungry again, often for sugar.
It's a vicious cycle. Sugar isn't the cause of EVERY modern ailment, but it's certainly a large contributing factor to quite a few and you'd do well to remove it almost entirely from your diet.
