If everything in the universe is moving rapidly away from everything else, why are our two galaxies (Milky Way and Andromeda) going to collide in a few billion years time?
If everything in the universe is moving rapidly away from everything else...
because gravitational center of the local group
astronomy is not science
nice meme
...
astronomy is /x/ tier pop sci crap
and at best, stamp collecting planets
the rate of the two universes heading toward each other is faster than the rate at which the universe is expanding. No shit
Astronomy is usually used as a blanket term for cosmology, astrophysics and sometimes astrobiology.
Astrophysics is a relatively new field of Science and everything we've learned from it has brought us many steps closer to understanding exactly how the universe was created and also will help us to one day live on other planets when our race outlives the earth.
Do you even know how to gravity m8?
Gravity is pulling us together faster than the space between us is expanding
>mfw they go right through each other without colliding
>universes
That is a collision, even though very little mass from either galaxy actually comes into contact with mass from the other
>i have seen galaxies collide so I can make crazy claims
Checked
...
...
You can see lots of galaxies collide, but little or nothing actually "touches"
...
Ha
finally I predicted my own post number
I feel so accomplished right now
Please, anons, don't respond to my perfect post, it is fine the way it is
thank you
It was dubs too. Nice
posting in epic thread

Why?~
how?
Well
I guess it is okay to reply
Not like it is going to make it less impressive
nibiru will swing by earth
chemtrails are real
and hiding nibiru
Lol sorry i was high
Nigger what the hell are you on about.
It's the oldest branch of science that exists.
If this is bait it's 10/10.
>predicted
We HAVE seen simulated galaxies collide, and that's what the do, they pass right through with a negligible chance of collision.
Do you have any idea how low the number density of planets even near the galactic center is?
>we ran a simulation.
>therefore we know exactly how it will happen in real life
kys
There is no good reason at all to assume that colliding galaxies physically collide more than a tiny bit
...
Inertia
>our two galaxies
What do you mean by "our", Peasant?
island universes
>everything in the universe is moving
>rapidly away from everything else
No.
The space between them is expanding.
Not the same thing.
