Open veins is good, cant comment in the other

Open Veins is great. It's also the only decent book that uruguay has ever produced.
Looks like its for a class
Colombian here
Why is it great?
To what extent the definition of pillage by the Spaniards come into this book?
What does this book explore?
Is this like Howard Zinn of Latin America?
Is there a good redpill history of Latin America that actually acknowledges the good stuff brought on by capitalism and US influence?
>the good stuff brought on by capitalism and US influence
like what
mcdonalds
Latin American here
Short answer no
Long answer
It's called a history book
But there it's a two sided coin.
While usa injected money and technicians, infrastructure, industry, you brought political instability, dictators and poverty.
usa made some people richer
Some poorer
And finally ''stole'' natural resources
But if usa weren't there we probably wouldn't have any idea how to exploit them
And finally usa saved us from commies
but as counterweight also made a lot of guerillas (commies) like in Colombia
usa fucked us in the ass, but it was not all rape, you get it?
mcdonalds broke in bolivia because nobody there liked it
had a white hispanic english teacher in junior year of high school. she was filling in for the real teacher who was pregnant and took time off to have her child. the replacement seemed to be ashamed of being white because she was super into that brown pride nonsense despite not being brown herself and had us snap our fingers when we liked something and assigned terrible short stories by unknown chican@ and latin american writers. if by some chance people haven't caught on to the fact that she is a fraud who can't even spell words correctly, she's probably assigned these books or trash like them to whatever poor cunts happen to be her students.
>saved us from commies
you imperialist pig, puto.
>he unironically wants to be venezuela
Open veins is the best way to identify a tryhard commie teenager, or a repressed postmodern adult
Literally every lefty teacher I've met has read that wad of shit.
Venezuela without the assraping by American cronies, sure
That's a really great argument /pol/ well done
>having maduro
youtube.com
penes is penis btfw
>Colombia's problem is communists
>Not the rightist drug gangs that murder communists/socialists/vaguely leftish persons in and outside of Colombia
>He doesn't understand the conflict
Typical non-Colombian
Rightist or leftist, in the end they both sell drugs, they both kill and they both shit on everyone.
Colombia's problem are Colombians
t. Colombian
This is the intelligence level of anticommies desu, and again the real problem with the country
>hur I don't like this government it doesn't make me rich enough
>I'm going to sell all my subsidized goods in the colombian black market to drug lords and make my own people have shortages
>and I'll tell gringos I love my country while I'm doing it
Are you mad because Pablo Escobar completely bought out M19 in Colombia?
>says all guerillas are commies
>well actually they're not all commies
The righties do by far the most damage, it's a bit telling you neglect them
Open Veins os efficient literature. The history and economics, as always in literature of Galeano, is in there just to prove his point of view. I was fourteen when i first read. Those dramas made me more stupid, but i have to recognize how strong the book is from a childish perspective.
all guerillas are commies
the rightist are called auto-defensas or paramilitares
the gangs are called bacrims and often just gangsters
the depiction of he spanish conquest given in Open Veins is not accurate at all, even Eduardo Galeano (real name Eduardo Hughes) acknowledge this
I've been assigned Open Veins for my LAS class. I haven't read it yet though. Dunno about the other one.
