For a first, you have to be careful what 'universe' you're talking about.
The Observable Universe (diameter 93 bn ly) very likely isn't the whole universe, it's just a bubble around us by the speed of light being less than infinity.
I find it very suspicious that we would happed to be in the center of it all.
