Tried making french toast today thoughts Veeky Forums
looks pretty french to me
Is that syrup? WTF?
Looks tasty user
Tastes pretty good so far!
...
The middle is suppose to be custard like, not the whole damn dish.
Americans put syrup, whipped cream and strawberries on their french toast. Seriously
Not white enough.
Try using day old, thicker sliced bread, OP.
...why whouldnt you put syrup on french toast
The best if you you make a sandwich with the french toast with sausage, syrup, and eggs
looks more like a french roastie, no what im sayin
What kind of bread did you use?
European french toast is a savory dish.
Not according to Escoffier
sometimes I make a fruit reduction to put on top
I don't like non-maple syrup
I just love this board, thanks God.
Is this what yanks actually eat?
It's called eggy bread and you have it with bacon and brown sauce.
It should be firm too, I have no idea what the fuck is happening here
It looks concentrated with liquid
How was this abomination produced?
Isn't food a unitasker?
>using syrup
Why not use a bit of brown sugar for the taste, don't overdo it
Pan seems like it should be hotter, you want the egg to turn golden brown, shouldn't be mushy except for the very center of the bread.. maybe just my preference but try it next time and see how you like it
Looks edible, mate.
>It's called eggy bread and you have it with bacon and brown sauce.
This.
I'm legitimately curious, how is it served up in Europe?
