How many people here have actually read it?

how many people here have actually read it?

I don't want to start with it, I want to start with another Pynchon book. But some guy keeps giving me shit about it.

I did.

It's dogshit

Read what?

i've read it 4 or 5 times over the years
not nearly as tough as people claim, very very enjoyable though

It's a book by Stephen King.

"Thomas Pynchon" by the literary collective 'Gravity's Rainbow'

>be me, freshman in college
>recently declared english major
>had read CoL49 in the fall, excited to read this book
>takes six weeks to read
>after, confront english professor
>tell me in all honesty it's a terrible book
>tfw been trolled by internet memes and academia

Possibly one of the worst books i've ever read, literally did not make me laugh once. would not recommend. 1/10.

i've read it twice
and i think it's overrated

I don't understand the last 3 arrows

About 40

Io ... And its one of my favorites.

>fickt nicht mit der raketemensch

about tree fiddy

>show mom this picture
>ask her what she thinks when she sees this face
>says he's cute if he got dental work
why are moms so stupid xD

where?

I did, it's a lot more hilarious than people give it credit for

frankly, 0.

I've read the Romanian translation. I don't think I got much out of it.

Me.
Why is having read it some sort of big deal? The people who fetishize it are the people who haven't read it. You never did the Kenosha, kid.

This. I'm currently reading it and loving it. Most the people who dislike it are contrarians, idiots, or both.

Thirded.

I read it last year after V. and it was great.

Read it through for the first time this year, probably my favorite book now. I'll often just pick it up again, flip to a random page and begin to chuckle.
