Martini. Boodles gin, dry, shaken, one olive floating around in the bottom.

two large gins, two pints of ciders, ice in the cider

Right away.

Shot of fireball please. And a bud light.

There are better ways to kill your liver, I recommend the 94% mixed in with a screwdriver.

I'd like to see a form of identification please.

two large gins, two pints of ciders, ice in the cider. please

I'll have the rest of your order out shortly.

ta

And there you go.

...

this has ice in it. baka barkeep

You think I'm just going to give you half a bottle of gin for that price? Life's a money vacuum bud, we're all just trying to get along.

Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome to the stage our band for tonight!
Leading the boys, on trumpet, Roy Hargrove. Ralph Moore on saxophone, Joey Alexander on piano, Christian McBride on the bass, and Lewis Nash drumming us through the evening.

nice

Good evening. Can I get a Manhattan? Easy on the Vermouth please.

Manhattan, easy on the Vermouth. Enjoy the show.

Listening to Siriusxm, "Real Jazz" as we speak. Those guys popup all the time.

Real Jazz was how I got my first taste of Joey Alexander beyond my roommate telling me about him.

Damn good stuff on there to sip a fine single malt to. Always. Haven't heard a bad segment yet in 2 weeks.

Rum and coke please.

Here ya go, hope you're having a good night.

It was kind of funny for me to listen to it while visiting my parents over the summer. They'd broadcast the Montreal Jazz Fest live, which takes place 20 minutes walking from my apartment.

can I get a bud?

Can I get an ID?

sure

2 oz of a poorly-hydrated person's urine with a touch of salt. Neat.

Checks out.

We haven't got any Bud. Beers are Molson, Boreal, MacTavish, and Leffe.

According to this, you're 13.

Shot of tequila coming right up.

I'll go ahead and take one with you.

>Expires

Give it up for the band, everyone! They'll be sticking around for one more set.

You're 30?!

well shit this establishment is a little too classy for my taste.
headed down to the local tavern instead.

>Molson
>classy
Why can Americans not handle real beer?

Old Fashioned, barkeep.

You, got it, pal.

What do you have as far as Islay single malts?

Ardbeg, Kilchoman, and Lagavuluin.

Ardbeg please.

How do you take that?

Can I get a lemon drop, please?

Sure thing. Unique order, haven't seen that one in quite some time.

>better jazz on Veeky Forums than on /mu/

Got any peated whiskys you'd recommend?

It helps when your roommate played jazz trumpet in high school.

I'm personally not a fan of peated, but of the ones I've tried, Tobermory really stood out.

Thank you. I only have it once in a blue moon, but decided, "Why not today?"

I'll take a bud, no ID.

Isn't it past your bedtime?

Do you have WT 101?

What's your favorite jazz and drink combination OP?

Do you have a nice Islay single-malt you can reccomend?

As a matter of fact I do.

Oscar Peterson's Plays Pretty or Bill Evans's Undercurrent with a nice scotch or Bailey's. Now that we're heading into the winter though, probably mulled wine or some other warm drink.

We've got Ardbeg, Kilchoman, and Lagavuluin.

An aviation please. I'm gonna step out for a smoke, keep it open.

In that case, I'll take a pour, neat.

You got it.

You're the WT 101 guy, right?

Neat, in a glencairn if you have it.

Have at it.

Yup.

Neat, right away.

Give a big hand to the band everyone! Once again, Roy Hargrove on the trumpet, Ralph Moore on the sax, Joey Alexander on the piano, Christian McBride on the bass, and Lewis Nash keeping the beat going on the drums.

The band might be done, but we'll still be playing jazz for you. Have some Bill Evans and Jim Hall.

Hey how ya doing buddy, you got any plum sake? Doesn't have to be served authentically or anything, just needs to be ice cold.

Clap clap.

You won't hate me too much if I say that we only have Gekkeikan Gold, will you?

Heh. I don't know the meta around sakes, so it probably makes no difference to me. Just looking for something to fill that itch, so I'll go for it.

I'll even give it to you in some tacky drinkware that I picked up for $6 in a Japanese store in Chinatown.

A glass of whatever the cheapest swill you've got is

Pint or half pint?

Cheers

Good evening. Can I look at your wine list?

Fetch me that gin son
fore I tan your hide

youtube.com/watch?v=vapoNZBrGxA

Get that sandpaper voice out of here.
How do you take your gin?

Not really a standard one. Anything you'd prefer in particular?

A pint of whatever is cheapest by the liter

I'm looking for something either red and fruity, or something bubbly.

Sure, here's the Boreal Rousse.

I've got a 2014 Nebbiolo from Piemonte, a 2013 Californian Cabernet Sauvignon, and a 2013 Pinot Noir from Burgundy.

I'll just take an ordinary small glass with some ice in it, or am I ruining it like that?

I'll take the 2014 Nebbiolo, please.

I'm no sake expert, but it's definitely better just cold rather than with ice. Want me to get you a bottle and chill it?

Enjoy, it's a good one.

Make me a salty dog then.

Look at me, telling you to enjoy a drink I haven't given you.

Right away.

Maybe you shouldn't be drinking at work.

Is it really drinking at work when your work is drinking?

Yeah that would be good, but could I just have some ice for the first glass as I wait for the rest of it to chill?

There is a difference between pouring drinks and pouring yourself a drink.
The band is lovely, great selections.

Sure, you got it.

I've only poured myself one shot of tequila with , and my tolerance is much, much higher than one shot of tequila.

Is it even legal in this part of the world to do so?
The vino was lovely, but lets take things to hard liquor; my birthday is in twenty minutes.

No regulations against it here.
What are you feeling?

One last album to round the night off, then we'll be closing.
It's been great to have you all here, hope you've enjoyed your night.

A French 75 with gin, please.
Leave the champagne bottle.

Thanks, sorry I'm a bit picky.

Happy birthday mate. You buying that yourself? Lemme. You shouldn't have to buy yourself a drink in the first hour of your birthday.

Here's the French 75.

You're so kind.
Bartender: an extra champagne flute for my friend, please.

And here's the rest of the champagne.
Best wishes, mate.

Here's your flute, as per 's instructions.

I certainly hope so! I'm paying after all.

Anyway, cheers. To the best of health and all that!

Thank you kindly.

Cheers! Here's another birthday!
May we all age like wine.

Thank you kindly, sir.

>sir
Time for the whiskey!

And so say we all!
