Apparently average looking people are attractive as fuck. From this I deduced average looking implies attractive. So whats the point of beauty contests? They are literally crowning the epitome of averageness.

More pics like these? Or source?

>I deduced
Good job motherfucker deducing the exact thing you read

1. Probable bias when selecting photos for the averaging algorithm.
2. Smoothing nature of averaging plus the fact that most of the people have different imperfections that cancel each other.

Porn actresses are a great way to know which women attributes are sexy:
- Teen
- Big tits
- Big hips/ass

Supermodels aren't fit or skinnyfat like porn actresses. They are slender.

This shit make women think that working out is for men. I know just pair of girls from the uni who actually work out every 2 days.

You're confusing mean and median.

The average IQ is 100, but the chances of someone having an IQ of exactly 100.00 is one in thousands. Just because the features in the picture are produced by averaging many faces doesn't mean it's how an average person looks.

big tits and slender for me

Average of a data set is not necessarily common, still.

Consider the numbers in the list in pic related. There's not even a 5 and 4 and 6 is rare, but the average is about 5.

In your pic, all extreme features are removed and what's left is a smooth face with just common features and no signs of illness.

The answer is a mix of this and the fact that beauty is simply not having flaws. Not having a fucked up nose, jaw, uneven eyes, big forehead etc. are all what make people attractive, and when you average out everyone, all of those traits balance (big noses get balanced with small noses and so on). You're conflating 'averageness' with perfection/beauty, when it really should be 'flawlessness' with perfection/beauty

>epitome

I got something average for you

*unzips dick*

can you tell if someone is homosexual by the face?

or maybe the face is blurred so much from blending you can't see the imperfections

>average

What's the average annual salary of the population consisting of Bill Gates and ten thousand federal minimum wage employees?

>Bill Gates income is estimated at $3,700,000,000 / year
>Federal minimum wage is $15,080 / year
>(3,700,000,000 + ( 15,080 * 10,000 ) ) / 10,001 = 385,041

Their average salary is $385,041 / year.

Now what's their *median* salary?

>1/2 * (10,001 + 1) = 5,001

The median salary is equal to the salary of the 5,001st member of that population when sorted by salary. The 5,001st member of that population when sorted by salary makes $15,080 / year.

Their median salary is $15,080 / year.

So i would like to point out that:

>average

and

>averaged

In this context do not mean the same thing at all. I have actually looked this topic quite a bit for a research term paper.

The "Average" person in these overlaid collages of faces are really just highly symmetric and the models used are generally young people.

Symmetry and youth are the most attractive aspects of a face.

So these overlaid collages are bound to be attractive.

The average dick doesn't have a zipper.

overlapping thousands of faces will smooth out the asymmetries which most people have. the average person is not this attractive.

average of facial shapes != average on the curve of attractiveness

They didn't hire 80 year old models or 400 pound models.

These are college students for the most part.

The average college student is more attractive than the average person.

actually no

You could take non-deformed ugly people and get a similar result. It would just take more faces to make.

The theory is not all faces have the same flaws. So averaging many different faces together lessons the degree a flaw from a single face will appear. So take enough faces and it doesn't matter how ugly the base face is it will all be evened out and the result will be considered attractive.

xplain

Averaging results in more symmetric faces, and smooths out skin, both of which increase attractiveness.

An overlaid collage of 40 year olds will be subjectively less attractive than an overlaid collage of 20 year olds.

An overlaid collage of fat people will also be less attractive than an overlaid collage of thin people. Fat like morbidly obese, not just chubbies.

I have an IQ of 100. Does that mean I'm mean, Greg?

Maybe. Is it a guy being face fucked?

Is there a 5/10 girl as attractive as op's pic?

Average individuals do not behave or share the characteristics or averaged groups, statistically speaking.

because average means the average of the whole, and one can't say that the average of a subset of the whole is the same as the average of the whole?

Shame really. Most girls I've seen who actually go to the gym and actually lift weights a few times a week instead of 20 minutes of cardio look incredible. It's certainly possible for girls to overdo it (we've all seen the FTM lookalikes, etc), but I feel like it's a lot harder than girls believe. All too often I'll hear "I can't do that exercise; I don't want to get bulky!".

yucky

I don't understand how it even makes sense to talk about "average individuals" beyond some vague wishy-washy notions.

>doesn't know the meaning of average
US education, folks

Suppose traits A, B, C, D, E, F, G will make offspring that are more fit. Most people might only have like 3 of those traits, (ABC, DEF, FGA etc.). However the "most average" person would have all of those traits at once, making them not only extremely fit, but also making them suitable mates for pretty much everyone. So an ABC might not be attracted to other ABC's because they're too similar, and might not like EFG's because they're too different, while an ABCDEFG would have theoretically 0 bad matchups making them universally attractive.

Average people != the average of facial shapes

You can go fuck yourself. I have a degree in math; what do you have? My point is that there are an essentially infinite number of characteristics that contribute to making a person who that person is, even if we restrict ourselves to quantifiable characteristics. To say "this person is average" is to claim to have evaluated that person on each of the characteristics in that set -- impossible.

>I have a degree in math
>infinity can only exist if you can evaluate every point in finite time
fuck off

I concede that this does not preclude the hypothetical existence of an "average person".

FINALLY I'M NOT ALONE IN THIS

OP never said that's how the average person looks. Yet you still comment to brag about the fact that you know what a median is.

You have autism, I'm sorry

define average

Read the thread, figured it out

Conclusion: OP is autistic

He meant to say symmetrical

An autist is literally the only type of person who could equate symmetrical with average

Average looking people are anything but symmetrical.
Your guess is wrong.

read the original post and replace the word 'average' for 'symmetrical'. this is what OP is trying to express.

When you replace the words it does make more sense.
But still its no guarantee that thats what the op meant.

*pushes glasses back up bridge of nose*

*inhales decongestant*

"nyahh"

Lel.
Only autists use roleplaying descriptions like you just did.
You must be very proud to be one of them to use it so blatantly.

lol nah, i can just tell you are the type of person who says true statements for the sake of saying something

"btw user, water is wet, so, it obviously isn't dry"

just why?

OP didn't actually understand the association, so no.

3.7 billion a year seems really fucking high, but it's low according to google.

Holy shit.

what is your point?

wouldn't that mean we have to adjust our scale, seeing how in average people are attractive?
