look local. I'm in flyover (Indiana) and live outside of Indianapolis and I have two roasters within 20 miles of me. You'd be surprised if you ask around. I know Veeky Forums is full of autists who lack social graces, but It could be rewarding if you come out of your shell, user.

What are the roasters within 20miles of you? Any particular blends you like from them?
I live in Indy.
>no spoilers on Veeky Forums
you learn something every day.

Textbook example of projecting

I'm near marion. I usually go to Midwest Coffee roasting company in marion and old crown in Ft. Wayne.

Thanks for the advice, then. I'll look into them. I didn't think there would anything that good here.

Happy Mug

This. Happy mug is the best. You can buy 1oz samples and 1/2lb bags. The shipping is 3 bucks and if your order gets messed up they will give you something free. They also roast right before delivery.

Happy Mug.

$3 priority mail shipping if you're in the mainland US.

Buy local!

>buy local!
son that's the warcry of poor craftsmanship. make a product worth buying and you won't have to worry about foreign competition

Buying local is great if your local roaster has a wide variety.

I've found many in Southern California do not. Too many of them stock "bright"/highly acidic coffee and sell it on their shitty, confusing websites.

I know there's one roaster that does everything through email and paypal transactions.

Coffee goes rancid in three days after roasting. After that you might as well get the shit sitting at your local supermarket shelf. You don't want 2 being wasted sitting in a box at USPS.

>buying expensive gourmet coffee
>not springing for overnight shipping

>gourmet
No, just freshly roasted. I do pretty well buying green beans and roasting in my whirly popper. It's not gourmet.

Wild Kopi Luwak Coffee

the poop coffee beans

Lavazza Oro isn't shit coffee. It's smooth. There's probably better but if you come across it and are screwed, it's good.

Spoilers only work on boards where the subject relates to stories that might be spoiled.

I second this. But thats because I don't really care about the supposed poor treatment of the animals. That coffee is really good. Brewed any way. It's difficult to have a bad cup with it.

Or if you can find it. Barako or Liberica beans.

>Coffee goes rancid in three days after roasting.

so then...you're saying by default any coffee that keeps longer than that is inferior because why?

In the UK I was using pactcoffee.com, you get 250g for £7, shipping included (I believe, but not sure now) and you can have them deliver the whole bean or they can grind it for you. Tons of variety, there's always something good in there.

what about my spoiled food

costco has good cofees for cheap

I've been thinking of trying some of Pact's stuff.

I'm currently buying most of my beans from Extract or Colonna because they're both not too far from me. The latter even has starting making nespresso capsules - I know a lot of people frown on them, but their ones are seriously worth a try.

you can sign up and cancel anytime, and your first order is half-price or something like that, so just making that first order is really worth it.

it is shit

It doesn't go rancid what are you talking about? It loses its top flavor potency from the ephemeral oils evaporating and oxidation over the course of 2 weeks. Even around a month it is still tasty but not ideal. After a month it is definitely finished.

the beans are pretty cheap but i can't get over how cheap the instant coffee is.

three cents per cup.

THREE

CENTS

>It doesn't go rancid what are you talking about?
Yes, the oils oxidize easily within a week. You even said it in your post. Do you not know that oxidized fat/oils is called rancid?

Seconded.

havana made coffee. yes from cuba.

They pump it with nitrogen gas Mary, yea they really do.

Happy mug has some nice selection of reasonably priced coffee, they roast and ship the same day usually it takes two days to ship it to you. their prices are around 11-13$ here is the site: happymugcoffee.com/
