Post your IQ, Veeky Forums, and discuss the very obvious correlation between high IQs and success in intellectual pursuits. 133 here; I see stupid people.
Intellectual category: >110-120 = cutoff point for the intelligent/ likely to have obtained a useful bachelor degree >120-130'= master's degree >130-140 = doctor >140+ = genius
>130-140 doctor >impressive work ethic and monumental amounts of rote memorization >intelligent
Christian Mitchell
>high IQ >intelligent
Isaiah Roberts
90 Comp e bachelor's from a really shitty state school that handed out degrees like candy. Currently a neet due to disability. I'm still really curious about science shit even though I can't thoroughly understand any of it on a meaningful level. What do I win?

140, according to a few. I don't trust IQ tests though, so I'd range from 120-140. I'm currently studying astronomy, I've participated in NASA competitions and was on a team that developed an experiment for the ISS that won 2nd place in one of the categories, meaning NASA would consider the experiment. I also built a small EMP in seventh grade, but that's fairly easy to do.
Julian Ramirez
Take the mensa test.
Aiden Kelly
I'd estimate in the 105-125 range.
Connor Cooper
Sounds about right for a typical Veeky Forums brainlet.
Jason Cox
IQ above 150 (the usual tests become inaccurate in that range) and I fucking failed at life. Gonna finish my masters degree in math next year and then I'm gonna kill myself because I can't take the lonliness and the existential suffering anymore.
Angel Williams
Faggot, why don't you do a doctorate first?
And I can guarantee that once you have money to do stuff, you'll cheer the fuck up.
You won't go through with it anyway. You'll be leaning over a bridge all night until the cops pick you up and drop you off at the looney bin.
Gavin Morales
You're a victim of the suffering genius maymay
Josiah Cox
I have double masters (that I did simultaneously) and working on one doctorate. What is my IQ then?
Charles Ramirez
>wants to kill himself >going to finish math degree???? >no reason to get masters because going to an hero anyway >seriously you can't have an IQ of 150 if you're that dumb >life is misery and I'm depressed and hate myself and want to die but I better prolong that suffering to finish up college????
You're not gonna kill yourself you edgy teenager.
Jack Morales
your university gets money if you finish your degree tbqfhwys
Kayden Wright
What IQ do you have if they invite you for a test? I remember I got that once.
Brandon Miller
If you want to give your money to something then donate it to a reputable charity and then hang yourself. It'd be used much more effectively there than lining the pockets of some bullshit, overpriced university.
Jaxson Cruz
True, I'm in med school, I'm a retard and so are most people desu
Daniel Hill
>why don't you do a doctorate first? I wouldn't be able to do it. Not due to lack of intelligence but due to my severe depression. I can concentrate and study for maybe one day and then get best grades in an exam, but continuous independent work over a long time is impossible when you're constantly focusing on the fact that you're suffering and want to die.
>once you have money to do stuff, you'll cheer the fuck up. Unless you're born rich, you're fucked. Whether you get 20.000 or 100.000 per year - it doesn't make enough of a difference to give you a better life. You'll never be a billionaire unless you were born into an already rich family.
I'm not suffering because I'm a "genius". I'm a "genius" becaues I am suffering. Intellectualism was the only thing I ever had in my shitty life, the only skill I was able to practice.
Daniel Watson
oh, I mean [a lot of] universities get government funding for each student that completes a semestre, a year, or a degree.
Oliver Watson
I'm not in university for the degree. I'm there for studying. Studying is the only thing I was ever good at. But unfortunately they'll inevitably force me to finish my degree. And then I have nothing anymore in my life.
Kayden Sullivan
The more you do stuff, the less you are going to want to kill yourself. If you are more intelligent, then you may need more mental stimulation than most people. I'm speaking from experience, too, I used to stay in my room all day every day, and I was stlll not introspective enough to realise that that was why I was going MAD.
You may not enjoy doing stuff at first, but it will eventually affect your mood. Engage your senses, do more than just think and study. This need for stimulation in the intelligent could be the reason why intelligence doesn't appear to give us a significant evolutionary advantage.
One thing happy intelligent people have in common, is motivation to do things and to work hard, even endlessly.
Xavier Watson
Oh, okay.
Then study even more to get a Ph.D, and then research shit. It'd not like you'll run out of things to study after you get a degree. We don't know everything there is to know yet.
Jace Wright
And force yourself to socialise at least a little every day. Join a robotics club or something on the weekends. Humans are social animals, don't ever forget that.
James Jenkins
If you're really that smart you'd realise all you need is yourself. Perfect yourself and the loneliness will both stop mattering and be replaced by friends simultaneously. It's what happened to me, and I don't consider myself a genius, so don't be such a miserable fag.
Jackson Powell
I'm somewhere between 110 and 125. I obtained a useful bachelor's degree, with mediocre results. To my excuse I barely cared for the degree, was depressed and fucking hated the people at school to the point that I avoided going to lectures. Well, I guess I'll always be mediocre, but I'm sure I have the potential for completing a master's degree of some worth.
Cooper Morales
If you're talking about evolving your personality so that it's appealing to others, then I could not agree more. The more interesting you are, the happier you will become.

Harambe died for our sins.
Hindsight bias may lead most mothers to believe that they would not allow their child to crawl into a gorilla pen, but alas, this is not the case. All are equal in Harambe's eyes.

>iq is static And yet, their "social" experiments subjects are brainlets which habits are autodestructive.
When will science stop researching about this circlejerk topic and focus on the real thing? Brain research.
Jonathan Nguyen
Get the fuck off of my board you retarded fuck. This is not science or math. Hopefully mods aren't faggots and will delete this.
Robert Jackson
The study of human intelligence is science by definition, ahrtard.
We can look before we leap. We construct hypothesis and theories until we have the means to observe intelligence deeply, at a chemical level.
Luis Morgan
>We construct hypothesis Then, I'm mistaken. I thought hypothesis were meant to be tried and manipulated so it can fit the facts. But unfortunately, the IQ experiments main focus is on a social scale.
So it's actual fundaments are reduced by the "statistic" and "occam's razor" irreal tools. In other words: Pseudoscience.
Hunter Peterson
Einstein first thought electrons were crashing into atoms instead of actually being inside them. Was that not scientific?
Colton Powell
I took a mensa test and got >=135 which was top 1% so I always assumed that was max result on that specific test.
I'm nothing special irl, probably best described as failed potential.
I dropped from first college because I barely attended any courses for more than a year, enrolled new one and now I'm doing 'fine' but mostly because it's a really easy here to get good grades with barely any effort.
Joshua Lopez
Actual physics have been studied for centuries and it's factors have been revised by thousands and thousands of scientists.
However, social factors are a conclusion of two main unespecified factors: the individual and the interrelationships.
The "induction" method can actually categorize species and subjects so people can be studied, nevertheless the human being has a more complex behavior than reptiles and plants.
Let's look at this with this example: If we jump to conclusions and use them "hypothetically" without questioning them, we will end up with the same spontaneous generation "theory".
The social "sciences" will never find out what's the human patron behaviors, or if actual behaviors are a result of a prime fenomena happening in the brain.
Nice argument. Unfortunately, IQ is still and always be pseudoscience.
Eli Nelson
Wrong. IQ is a factual measurement of a person's aptitude to take a specific test in specific conditions. It is from that, among other facts, that theories can be constructed.
Asher Fisher
111 here. Guess I'm tradesman tier, associates degree. I work as an electronics technician. Any other techs browsing Veeky Forums?
Eli Gray
>factual It doesn't explain shit about its reation with intelligence. They can't even explain "that" intelligence.
> It is from that, among other facts, that theories can be constructed. Social and psychology theories still can't explain determinated behaviors, so its actual explanation is a made up statistical interpretation of a more complex algorithm system.
Its use can be tolerated by the utility they have, however the validity is obviously detached by the real sciences. IQ don't even have an actual usefulness except maybe the bussiness employee filtering.
Which is still pseudoscience. Sorry.
Connor Smith
Have you guys taken some official tests to find out your IQ? I've only done some online tests in the past and usually score something like 120-125. I'm currently on my fourth year studying mathematics at university so at least that matches pretty well with OP's definitions.
Jaxon Gray
141 here. Im in no way a genius.
Lucas Clark
>high iq >still a failed man IQ is a meme, don't fall for it user
Brody Torres
Intelligence is the ability to hastily aquire, or use knowledge or skills. IQ is, and will remain, a very good, though not infallible, measurement of a person's intelligence. Few claim it to be anything but a good indicator.
I would reword my last post actually. If you score 100 on an IQ test, the fact is that you scored 100 on that specific test. You can then, from that, conclude that probably, theoretically, you are of average intelligence. This is not pseudoscience, this is theory.
Jeremiah Nelson
I'm 133 and doing pretty good in my studies. My average grade for the second year is 9.9/10. My father has a phd (in sociology tho) and he's 102 IQ.
Brandon Gomez
>sociology It's like running in the special olympics; even if you win, you're still retarded.
Jonathan Jones
My IQ is 110, I guess I'm both the loud majority + likely to have obtained a useful bachelors.
Logan Flores
It's not a meme. The "no hard work" life is the meme.
Every successful man has been through shit. I'm not a Trumplet, but he is a great example of a successful man: He has failed many times and broke a lot. But the mentality he built as he grew up, had made it possible to be a candidate of the presidential elections.
>it's theory Theories are proven laws interpretated and coexplained. Laws are proven hypothesis which predictions determinate the experiment results. Hypothesis are not-proven ideas.
IQ can make up an intelligence definition. But can't demonstrate the intelligence source. Can't prove its behavior. So it can't practically explain what is intelligence.
Which makes IQ "studies" pseudoscience.
Jacob Kelly
Couldn't agree more.
Matthew Lee
I give up. It's like trying to explain altruism to a chimp. Or you're just arguing for the sake of arguing. Whatever, I'm done.
Xavier Rodriguez
This is a great way to demonstrate your inability to explain something with words. Good luck.
Mason Walker
STOP THESE FUCKING THREADS OP IS SURELY A NEET THAT TOOK A TEST ON WWW.FREEIQTEST.NET/FAGGOT
Gabriel Bailey
Inspired by this thread, I took an online test on the Finnish Mensa website and scored 128, which is slightly better than what I expected. Obviously online tests are not the real thing but I guess it's still a decent score.
Dominic Harris
How come? Aren't they literally copies of real tests? I had a friend score higher on a real one that on the one dk one.
