bought this specifically for that cover.
minimalism boners everywhere.
>hey guys let's not even waste money on a cover artist for our cheap mass produced paperback, we'll save a bit that way and it's just going in bulk to schools where the kids won't give a fuck about it anyway
>omg so aesthetic
shut the fuck up you phony
That's not minimalism.
He rapes his sister phoebe

Vintage Contemporaries have good-bad covers which are my favorite type.
...
I love her fashionable and completely 100% contemporary blouse.
I got that and this suuuper cool looking edition of this book on a trip to Vancouver B.C. yesterday.
the disdain in his glance is great

Is anyone else a fan of this cover? I quite like it, but don't often see people mention it.
Couldn't find any hq pics online so I just took a picture of my own copies
One of my favorite scifi covers

>Ler Gravity's Rainbow e Infinite Jest em português
Pic related would be great if it didn't have that shameless Guardian plug in the lower left corner.
Lembro do tópico desse mano tomando porrada de geral por ter lido tradução de duas obras que é inútil ler em outra língua que não a original
book itself and the cover. personal favourites of mine.
Nah, they got solid design.
The only thing that bothers me about them is when they use an inaccurate image.
Damn.
2spook
...
Yes, they are very ugly.
Especially the texture, the way the top part is all glossy is disgusting.

This is a great cover for Notes.

What's the original paintings name?
Picador publishes in the anglosphere, but wiki says they do a lot in UK and Australia
My bet is that is an 80s/90s Australia edition
Actually just looked it up both and are UK editions the first from the mid-90s the latter from the late 80s
Here's the German edition cover which is pretty slick I feel
I feel that. I have a couple of those and they're weirdly nostalgic
...
Wanderer Above the Sea of Fog, or at least something like that
Ur absolutely correct user
The Wanderer
It's somewhat of a cliche and is commonly the cover to Frankenstein (because they're both from 1818) and Schubert's Wanderer fantasie
Thank you very much
how do you guys feel about barnes and noble classics cover?
I loved this run of Murukami editions that Vintage did... but then they stopped with them and made these awfully generic paperback editions....
All of them look exactly like this cover now, they're so generic and glossy and lame looking now.
What's the pattern from? It doesn't look too Japanese. Anyway, I like it.
...
Better than most new book covers
Nice. And the book is amazing.
>Robert Anton Wilson
What the fuck. Did he write fiction? Is this any good?

Is the Illuminatus Trilogy worth reading? My friend who read it told me it was a waste of time.
your friend is a dumbass
am I a pleb if I love pretty much every NYRB or OWC
Você deve ter viajado, ou talvez seja invejinha por ser apenas um filisteu, acontece nas piores senpaiílias

>achar que a complexidade e genialidade de GR e IJ estão na escrita
educação pública é triste mesmo
No.
They are nothing genius but they all look good, and they don't have the glossy shit that Penguin uses.
I love minimalist covers. I was going to buy pic related yesterday, but it was too expensive, so I bought a cheaper edition, with another cover.
Just checked the rest of the new Vintage editions.
Goddam.
Japp
Murakami's books always have great covers. I just don't like the font in pic related, but the photograph is amazing.
The title was hard for me to read at first but damn, that looks amazing. I'm a sucker for that '20 poster style.
...
Those are kind of cool, but I think it would be neater if they had some noticeable difference between them even if it was something small.
Politically Corrected
One of them is in red ink. What more do you want?
Let's bump the quality here a bit, shall we?
And while were at it, does anyone know whitch edition is this one from?

It's the American flag as designed by and for Nazi sensibilities, hence the stripes are changed to SS-like lightning bolts. It's subtle, unlike
>SS-like lightning bolts
that's a stretch
It looks like a quilt. Probably because the swastikas got them in shit. The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich had that problem. Why take a chance?
...Have...have you read the fucking book?
The manji on the second cover are technically wrong; the Nazi swastika was designed turned at an angle to be diamond-shaped, adhering to the "pointy" aesthetic of the National Socialists.
My favourite painting desu, and pretty fitting for anything Nietzsche.
German doesn't have 'å', it's Norwegian or Swedish, because it isn't Danish.
That's the Swedish edition though
Same here mate, cozy yet so alive
Yeah, this one's definitely; "let us rather not offend anyone."
You bought the one from booklet editions? How much cheaper was it?
Uhm... No, just NO! Capar has such an opposing philosophy that they simply don't go together. In all honesty, It's like putting Parthenon to the cover of a book about Roman architecture.
