I drink them because Veeky Forums memed the "first sip of the day" meme until I caved

It tastes good, and regular coffee doesn't have enough caffeine to affect me.

My coworkers drink like 3 each every day and just leave the cans all over the job site for people to spill. They wonder why I carry around such a big water bottle around.

Because I stay up all night gaming and can barely stay awake during the day.

Then at about 7pm, I magically wake up and can go back to gaming with full faculties.

I like the taste and it is great to have right before a high intensity work out session.

They aren't good for me, and I really don't care either way.

In high school i would drink about 1 Rockstar Punched per day. Since then i've steadily cut sugar and caffeine out of my diet. A few weeks ago I tried one these fucking things again so I could stay up all night and work on a project for work. I ended up walking about 10 miles around my city in a jittery anxious panic. When I got home I masturbated until it was too painful to keeping doing it.

On the odd occasion that I end up having to work on less than 4 hours of sleep I'll drink one. I make no excuses for what it does to my body though. I'm pretty sure drinking one while sleep deprived shaves an hour off my lifespan for every hour I'm awake on one of those damned canned beasts.

You have 30 seconds to justify why you think energy drinks are bad when all grain, rice, flour, pasta, bread in the US and 3/4 of your diet contains the same chemicals that you call "bad" in energy drinks.
Read the ingredients. Compare it to your bread, rice and ramen. You're disowning over half the food that exists.

Pipeline punch has this distinct guava flavor I've never gotten from any other energy drink.

Most guava drinks are juices and not carbonated. It would be difficult for you to find a similar analogue.

Has anyone seen the first version of Mtn Dew Amp? it came in stub nose plastic bottles, one flavor, green and it was thick as syrup. They were only around for a few months before they went with the typical can.

Who in their right mind thinks these are good for them? They're not, but I love the taste of Full Throttle and it also helps me feel normalized mentally (some people smoke). That's being said, trying to ween myself off them because they're a terrible money sink.

There is nothing inherently bad or unhealthy about energy drinks. Go take a look at the ingredients of a Rockstar Pure Zero. It's surprisingly tame. They don't megadose these with Vitamin B12/B6 or Niacin anymore. It's straight up carbonated water with some preservatives and flavoring
