Plato is magnificent enough as a thinker that even if translations of his works butcher the original force and nuanced complexity of his prose, he's still more worthwhile to read than just about anyone whom I can read in the original language. Thats it dont really like other writers. I find the ocasional good novel here and there, but most writers seem to have a very inconsistent tone with their stuff which I dislike.
