Do cow farts really play a significant role in climate change? Or is this just retarded vegan nonsense?

there a LOT of cows
each cow makes a LOT of farts

i'll let you draw your own conclusion

"Climate change" as a whole is cheap memescience.

fuck this gay earth that has an atmosphere so sensitive that keeping a few head of cattle around can actually change it in a significant way hahhaa wtf you can't make this shit up

Explain again how sheep's bladders may be employed to prevent earthquakes.

methane, a greenhouse gas 21 times better at trapping heat than carbon dioxide

>There are currently approximately 1.3 to 1.5 billion cows

>significant role in climate change?
No, ClimateChange(R) is powered by anthropogenic brain farts.

The strange thing is that people are running around screaming we must do something about this.

Reality is that Japanese researchers found simple chemicals than can be added to cow feed to reduce the methane emissions. That was about 20 years ago. It seems however this discovery is inconvenient.

It's true. We farm the cows and breed and feed them in extremely tight spaces and basically create smelly gas bubbles that can float up into the atmosphere at a faster rate than the local plant life can absorb it. We could fix this by spreading out farms that hold animals, or putting domes over farms and farming the C02 and methane to the plants so it doesn't reach the atmosphere.

Farmers don't want to pay extra to put those chemicals in their feed because when you're going through tens of tons of food a year to feed the cows, that shit adds up quickly. Nobody would agree to those extra costs unless regulation forced them.

Spit up my drink

I don't know where you're from but you seem to seriously underestimate how much beef amerifats consume

>Farmers don't want to pay extra
That is pretty stupid of the farmers.

You see the farmers could have claimed CO2 quotas and gotten PAID to do this. As a bonus their work place would have been an awfully less gassy. But no. Farmers want to do it the way they did it in the stone ages.

>Farmers want to do it the way they did it in the stone ages.
But with antibiotics and milking machines.

Did you typo "Chinese"?

He said cows, he means American women.

>Reality is that Japanese researchers found simple chemicals than can be added to cow feed to reduce the methane emissions

How will it effect the taste of the meat?

It's not as much of the farts as it is how they digest food. Cows burp much more than they fart.

Cows fart methane, not CO2

>exxonmobil

how scientific of you
