Mouth Feel

All I hear is

>autistic screeching

>"this wine is bad"
>"it lacks the flavor profile I want"
>repeat for every glass of wine ever
Kill these people.

You forgot the Umami!

"Animal rights"

Why do people say umami instead of savoury anyway?

I want to open a restaurant called OOH MOMMY UMAMI

all umami is savoury, but not all savoury is umami.

Oooohhhhh so umami is a meme like 'nutty' or 'undertones'.

I get it now, thanks.

Not all sweet is honey, but all honey is sweet, yet we don't have a flavor called "honey" we have a flavor called "sweet". So why don't people say savory?

because they're weeaboos who watched anime and fantasize about asia and how good it is

>*sips whisky*
>Mmm, what delicious hints orange zest and nutmeg, and those delicate earthy undertones if sage

You lying fucking faggot, it tastes like kerosene and you fucking know it

LMAO what does earthy undertones even mean? I thought 'earthy' was just code for 'tastes like shit to me' from Zimmerman using it to describe every culturally spiced turd he eats.

This but unironically

Have you never tasted cumin?

Yeah it tastes like tacos

Considering earthy is used to describe things like Venison and unclean animal bowels, I highly doubt cumin is 'earthy'.

I want to open a Vietnamese/Weeb fusion restaurant called Phuc Umami

>yummy
>yum-yum
>yummers
>om nom nom
>noms
>nummies
>any kind of fucking baby talk like this
When I hear people talk like this, I usually punch myself in the head.

Shut the fuck up, guac boy.

Two reasons:
- Savoury has never been considered a basic taste in western culture, while umami was always a basic taste and Japan spent the latter part of the 20th century proving it scientifically.
We adopted umami as a basic taste in recognition of that scientific proof.
- Savoury and umami are not directly analogous anyway, so translating umami as savoury is incorrect.

Those words confuse me and it sounds like you're insulting the west. Why do liberals hate civilization?

All this proves is that even culinary science can be turned towards evil goals.

this

>adopting foreign words is evil

Do you also have an irrational hatred for sauté pans?
Chile con carne?
Linzertorte?

/v/irgin here
wtf that means? introduce me with your memes pls
