Why is it okay to spoil the classics?

Why is it okay to spoil the classics?

I don't get this 'spoil' concept.
Usually I have theories for how it might end, if it's in any way disappointing then I just imagine my own version. Even though I know how it ends it's all the same.

It's the "it's about the journey not the ending meme" which is the best angle IMO.

>not caring about plot

Do you have actual autism?

yes.
Not the person you were asking btw.

That's almost certainly a tranny.

And, into the trash she goes.

To answer your question, it's because for real literature, the plot is merely a device used to articulate a point or theme that the author has. If you are looking for "epic plot twists" and fleshed out characters, you should probably read Japanese mangas or watch television. Literature is about thematic discussion and philosophy, and it's only with the advent of garbage YA books that people started believing otherwise.

I really don't understand it on chicks like OPs. If you're some 2cool4u bearded hipster then that makes sense; but why bother with a shitty arm tattoo if you're a disgustingly hot blonde chick?

eww

It's about the journey not the destination.

>Japanese mangas

Redundant.

Yes because since you know it's a classic you are suppose to find out why it's a classic so the spoiling is soften because it is a classic

I knew how The Mayor of Casterbridge ended beforehand, but no less saddened when I actually read it.

Good jerb lucky lard lass!
