Lots of unbelievable stupidity in this thread. Von Neumann by far in the top 10 scientists of the 20th century for his many achievements in particular application of operator theory to quantum mechanics and von neumann architecture. Relativity was a more important single achievement and Einstein was more popular in mainstream media, but that doesnt discredit what Von Neumann did.
