Do people really season red meat with salt?
Do people really season red meat with salt?
...
can someone explain this seasoning meme to me?
did people finally catch on to how pretentious and phony it is when chefs sprinkle seasoning down from several feet in the air above the dish?
it's so that it spreads out evenly.
When working in a busy restaurant, you naturally pick things up which make your job quicker. Sprinkling from a height ensures the salt spreads out more evenly. Of course you can do it by moving your hand around near the steak, but in an environment like that you're pinching every millisecond. This
I just shake it right from the container
i don't care.
cared enough to reply :3
>when chefs sprinkle seasoning down from several feet in the air above the dish?
>Sprinkling from a height ensures the salt spreads out more evenly.
you faggots don't have a clue don't you why chefs sprinkle salt from several feet above on the meat
so let me explain
when you sprinkle salt from high distance of few feet salt falling down on the meat or any other food has time to get contact with oxygen in the air
and that gives salt chance to oxidize a bit and not be so harsh in it's taste when it lands on the meat.
@8539223
not even worth a (you)
learn proper English you foreign cunt
...
>time to get contact with oxygen in the air
here I thought I was the only one who stored his salt in a vacuum, because we all know table salt readily oxidizes
>oxygen in the air
>and that gives salt chance to oxidize a b
lol
>when you sprinkle salt from high distance of few feet salt falling down on the meat or any other food has time to get contact with oxygen in the air
>and that gives salt chance to oxidize a bit and not be so harsh in it's taste when it lands on the meat.
chortled
it's the same principle like pouring wine from the distance to introduce to the oxygen and to improve it's taste
you people are so primitive
People eating at places where those chefs do their magic, is usually white, middleaged sexually oppressed women.
Im pretty sure they get a little turned on, by his magic fingers and gestures.
you are very sexists and why you are discriminating against gays, transgender and fat people who also like those salty finger shows
shame on you
...
well to be fair, most of the salt would oxidize on his elbow first
Just. Forgive. Me.

>gives the salt a chance to oxidize
I hope you don't actually believe that. Unless it's dissolved or molten, salt won't react with anything, including oxygen, due to the strength of the ionic bond b/t sodium and chloride ions and the fact that there are no unpaired valence electrons in a salt crystal, because it's an ionic bond.
t.I paid attention in chemistry class
Love is stronger than any bond, and we all know the best chefs cook with love.
Dank memes dissolve ionic bonds
typical communist propaganda full of irrelevant facts

>Oxidize a bit
Teach me to shitpost like you
haha are you calling me guru
Keep paying attention. A decent chemist would cringe at your conclusions.
That's actually some pretty top tier bait, I knew it was bait and I still got mad
I'm gonna give you like a 9/10. Solid effort, really good.
>Leonardo DiCaprio was so impressed by this dudes instagram post that he flew out to his restaurant to have a private meal

Thanks.
Last year I had a nice thread going about picture related but I can not find that thread.
I wish I could find that thread in Veeky Forums archives somehow.
JOHN'S WEATHER FORECASTING STONE CONDITION FORECAST
Stone is Wet Rain.
Stone is Dry Not Raining.
Shadow on Ground Sunny.
White on Top Snow.
Can't see Stone Foggy.
Stone is swinging Windy.
Stone is jumping Up Down Earthquake Stone Gone.
It was fun reading some of the responses.
And I got lot's of compliments as well.
But the funny thing is that I honestly believed that the stone had some psychic powers and only after few days of reading the responses
I realized that it was a magic trick and not real psychic powers inside of that stone.
do people really shitpost on Veeky Forums?
>stone gone : tornado
Tornadoes are the niggers of weather.
Woah ya sure got me
>not hyperdecanting your salt
its a meme made for women.
since women cant think of anything besides what convo they had with chad, or if chad text them or not, or if chad fucked them or not, they made themselves a meme.. about a chad.
>oxidize a bit
I believe the official chef term is "activating"
