I have a cumulative GPA of 2.5

I have a cumulative GPA of 2.5

3.1 master race

...

>tfw no grades are given in my university
>its either pass or fail

Fuck off drone

>tfw an A- is a 3.8 at my school
its an unpleasant feel

>Classical Mythology

>Classical Mythology

???????

Fucking nerd

>tfw 3.9

Tell us your favorite myth, user

>still getting a GPA
>not just needing to not get Ls
how's baby school coming

Sisyphus

3.0 masterrace, have fun with your stress and stomach ulcers cucks

>not relishing in the wealthy and imaginative culture of the society that invented philosophy and mathematics.

A- is 3.667 at mine.

nice "university" you got there friendo
in all seriousness thought
no one will hire you when you graduate
it's like going to Trump University

I failed uni

UCSC REED?

2.75 senior mech e. This major is easy as tits I havn't studied or done any work in 4 years. Final semester just gota sit through another fucking stupid thermo applications class withount even a whiff of statistical physics. Already got job offers coming in from companies i've interned in. Why is life so fucking easy in america, I feel like at some point I will have to apply myself but this is just too easy, even if I only start at 70k I don't even know what I will do with the money, I guess I'll just save up for like 20 years untill some qt3.14 comes along and spends it.

what is this GPA

Reed gives grades, you're just not told them unless you ask your advisor.

t. Reed student

2.1 first semester in college master race

my college kicks you out if you fall below 2.0, you better get ready to flip burgers

Med fag?

I got all Cs and one B
It will probably get better this semester

>3.00 cGPA
>4.00 in last year of credits

It doesn't even matter. I'm still stupid to everybody.

explain pls this GPA shit to me i dont get it.

Basically they take a percentage and then convert it to some arbitrary number just to make things complicated.

but how do i interpret this ?
we have grades from 1.0 to 4.0 in our universities, where 1.0 is best.

Thanks to MD I can go get my BS in Cybersecurity for free since I got an Associate's with a 4.0

>tfw 3.2 gpa
>want to transfer to purdue from canada (3rd year)

I got B on calc 1 and 2, A on Calc 3 and A on DE.

B+, B- in physics i and ii

And basically some random engineering courses for comp eng.

do i have a chance?

yeah man, i applied to purdue when i was in high school. graduated with a 3.25 and got accepted. didnt go tho

is it bad?

no, not at all. bunch of my friends go there. i just chose to go to indiana uni instead

oh alright thanks man!

i go to a shit school so i wanted to transfer somewhere 3rd or 4th year to get the name. looking for a school that would accept me but isnt shit as well.

yeah no problem.
good luck my dude

lol reed is such shit liberal school
Lol no they don't, you just get put on academic probation

I made a 4.0 last semester and literally was too lazy to go to class or do anything serious.

I just did the reading casually, and there it was.

Shit isn't even stressful, just learn to manage your time better.

>tfw get an A- in 1 credit hour class due to teacher changing the attendance weighting last minute
3.99 GPA is annoying

>reed is shit
The professors are nice, I have a publication and multiple conference posters as an undergrad, and about to submit another. If you're motivated and work harder than the shitters surrounding you, the professors will help you get into a good graduate school.

However, my fellow students are for the most part terrible and more concerned with identity politics than learning or hard work.

Overall I hate this place and wouldn't recommend it to anyone, but I don't regret coming here.

I have a 2.77.

How fucked am i? I'm retaking a class to replace a bad grade with a good one.

This is my exact GPA. Think there's a class that needs to be replaced tho, gonna talk to some people about it.

GPA just makes you have to put more effort to getting your foot in the door in a place, once you've got a good work history you won't have to worry about it.

I hope.

As the other person said, after getting work experience your GPA will fade into history. Obviously you want to get your GPA up as best you can, but you can definitely find jobs with a sub 3.0 GPA, it will just be tougher and be harder to land.

The perks of a high GPA is that you can go down any path you'd like, but these paths can be attained with a low GPA through connections or a little later with relevant work experience

itt: american grade inflation

>we think college will pay off.

>conditioned into thinking college is worth it
FTFY

how hard is it to retain As across all classes as a full time student when you haven't gone past calculus and physics I?

Are you trying? Or do you just not care?

I guess what I'm trying to ask is, what's the point of the thread.

>intro classes
>impressive
>babbies first thermo
lel.

Yup.

>tfw cumulative GPA of 2.72, current GPA of ~3.0
>wanted to get into grad school
>only just now realizing being content with simply passing all classes so I had free time to sleep party and jerk off is not sufficient for entering grad school
>now I have to try and nail my last few classes, take some grad courses and brown nose professors.

brehs if I was just a biologist or something I'd just do a bunch of research to make up for this, but how do I get research/work experience in PURE MATH?

UNH?

This is mainly based on the university and usually just depedent on the professors grading. A 3.5 GPA at one uni could be seen as just as good as a 4.0 at another desu some unis are just more rigorous

Be honest. Quite a lot people full with 4.0 GPA with literally low bars exams out there. Even in STEM.

If you are in math, physics, or engineering just know that calc 1 and phys1 are just the beginning and if you cannot conquer those than youll have a hard time with further classes.

Tbh just take good notes during lectures and get help from your professors or TAs if you need for a particular concept as that is what they are there for

>intro courses at brainlet school
ok

>Quite a lot people full with 4.0 GPA with literally low bars exams out there
I've never seen a sentence make less sense desu

>tfw grad courses in North America are easier than undergrad courses in a 3rd world country

Not even remotely true. However it's easier to get good grade in grad school since grades are curved to hell.

I do wish the average was around 70 like it should be, but professors typically choose to curve or not. In my physics 3 class there was absolutely no curve and the average tests were about 67ish, but some people would still get 90s. Weekly homework and quizzes definitely pull final grades up a bit though

>GPA's out of 4
>not out of 7
fucking plebs

>tfw you will never be born a swiss and be able to easily attend ETH Zurich
America sucks senpai

o fuck off with your seminar classes

...

fellow IBer?

>Soc Justice Multi Cul Wrld

Why won't americuckolds just die?

1.9 here
>tfw too enlightened for school

gpa currently 3.79, is this impressive

No.

I could tutor floyd mayweather for 1-2 hours a day and he'd get the same grades.

Majority getting just A's and B's...

>grades are curved
>getting final points for homework
>and quizzes
>even small projects and presentations
>no 100% final exam

You 'Murricans and your education are pure keks.
You're not special when everyone is special. ;))

>uni undergrad
>cumulative GPS of 3.2
>....but I transfered and GPA started fresh so I don't have GEs or basic classes to inflate my GPA
>applied to PhD programs
>only a year of research experience

fuck brehs I don't know if I'll make it

the grade inflation is real

Detroit?

If quizes or homeworks constitutes a relatively small portion of the total grade (~15%), they are no longer a concern and my grading will be 85% maximum. Anyone who still does homework in college is a loser

Dayman ahaa aaaa

>tfw weigted avreage of 3.14
>on a 1-5 scale
At least it's pi right?

Same but in hs I had a 1.4 gpa. I was too smart.

>tfw to intelligent to be smart

Yes, Detroit.

Congratulations!, you may be the smartest person on Veeky Forums

We...we're coming back

I go to community college btw

>Mythology isn't important
Fuck off.
