The kind in your pic. Bonus points for Oreo crust. Fucking fruit pies are for old ladies.

I like to make french silk with a simple shortbread crust
The chocolate silk part is ezpz to make from scratch so do it that way please

Chocolate is my favorite pie.

Peanut butter and blueberry are also good.

Probably Sticky Date Pudding.

Recipe

taramisu

Shoo-fly.

Just use this one and tweak to your liking. I prefer using unsweetened chocolate and sweetening it to my liking, but if you're not good at tweaking yourself just follow this to a T and you'll be set
as for the crust I prefer shortbread as I said earlier, but you can use whatever you want. If you like things extra sweet use graham cracker, if you cant be fucked to make one yourself buy it from the grocery store.

Coconut cream

Derby Pie. It's mostly just pecan pie. Just replace the pecans with chocolate chips.

Nothing beats sweet tea and pecan pie

except maybe a little bit of chicken fried and cold beer on a friday night

Peach with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, but they're not in season

GA or AL

Totally right.

And a pair of jeans that fit just right

I'm actually from CA desu

banana cream pie is ACE my friend.

Pecan.

Tarte Au Sucre

Any reasonable person would call that a tart (a shit one, but a tart nonetheless).

Pies have pastry on top & the side/bottom.

How about a savory pie?

Peanut butter pie is my favorite.

>savory pie
Picture of a quiché.

clearly a quiche

for fuck's sake.

Pecan pie.

You have a point there. Make mine sausage and mushroom.

Apple and pumpkin pie with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
Prove me wrong.

Pumpkin pie will always be amazing but I can't be assed to make the filling.
As for apple, it's alright. I went through an apple pie phase for a while and burned myself out.

This desu desu senpai.

Are quiches not pies? At the very least they're damn close.

Pies are defined by their crusts. A filled pie is uncovered. There's a lot of overlap and no real difference between pies and tarts my dude.

Steak Bacon and Cheese, but the Cheese is layered at the top under the crust rather than mixed throughout.

I honestly cannot comprehend desert pies. So fucking weird man.

>pie
>a bowl literally filled with chocolate and butter

Is this what you amerifats consider a pie these days?

I gotchu pham.

Honey > corn syrup.

Apple or blueberry. Chocolate based pies are way too rich for me, but pecan I can really enjoy one small slice before getting overwhelmed by the sweetness

Boston cream pie isn't a pie, it's more like a cake.

nah man, chocolate pie has its origins in at least the late 18th century. its a classic.
besides, if you wanna get upset over chocolate pie, you need to get upset over pecan pie, too. after all, it's just corn syrup in a bowl.

Would you consider a Key Lime Pie to be an old lady fruit pie?

Key Lime. I usually have it every year on my birthday.

Rhubarb, but it's not quite the season yet
Chocolate or Apple are easy and always good

I actually made a pie because of this thread
An apple pie
I might post pics when it's done?

Definitely post pics man.

Yes, but it's awesome. That fruit pie line was from a movie, btw, I have nothing against fruit pies.

Actually my first time cooking (or eating) pie
Its my grandmas recipe

>it's just corn syrup in a bowl.
Seriously, use honey instead of corn syrup.
