Student raises hand

>student raises hand
>reiterates everything the professor just said (poorly) before asking his question

REEEEEEEEEEEE

>that kid that asks a question to the professor from a vsauce video
Literally should be kicked out of uni just for that

What was the question?

>He didn't read the course syllabus

JUST END IT

>that student who giggles smugly while butchering a question that barely has anything to do with the material and nods his head while looking at other students for validation that he hardly managed to parrot an idea from a popular youtube video

>that professor whose board is just sloppy unintelligible trash

>all the students that won't even make it past this mind numbing course, only here to waste their time and everyone else's

>that "bro" who tries to interact with you during class, whose only apparent purpose in life is to endlessly distract you with inane babbling

>that stacy who tries to interact with you outside of class (further analysis beyond the scope of this post)

>that professor with "political opinions"

life is suffering

>>that professor with "political opinions"

Oh, that is fun. Almost every professor has at least once mentioned Trump and talked about him in a negative light.

What is the fun part?

This university is not even in the US.

Oh, but when they get into local politics it is even fucking better. The ride never ends

>Rich people this
>Rich people that
>Communism would be so much better
>This was a conspiracy orchestrated by the 1%

Last class a professor got visibly angry. There is some shit about how a politician was over thrown violently and even though very few liked said politician, they were against using this kind of military force.

The professor was obviously against the military force. But then a student said

>But I remember in those days! People in [insert middle class neighbourhood] were cheering for the army!

And the professor got really fucking triggered.

>Oh but [insert middle class neighbourhood] is just a bunch of rich people. Who cares what they like.

The ride never ends. That said, communism is obviously superior but come the fuck on. I am just a mathematics student. At the end of the day, I don't give a fuck about any of this.

>that kid thats puts his hand up to answer a question that the instructor was planning on answering himself

I was that kid the first semester, still cringe thinking about it

>tfw you stop being a cringelord just too late to leave good first impressions in uni
I can relate user

>That said, communism is obviously superior

I- Is this bait?

You ask for something, they give it to you.
Someone asks you for something, you give it to them.

Easy.

Give me all of your money and belongings

I have no money and no property, as this is a communist society.

So here, take my empty set {}

so communism is a bunch of destitute people asking each other for things that they don't have

>asking each other for things that they don't have

No. I don't have money or property. We don't own property. I live in one of the family sized apartments built in this side of town. I asked the government for a computer, internet, electricity, water, etc. They gave it to me. I use it, but it is not mine. It is of the community.

Vacate your apartment, I want it.

I think you should've just gone for le helicopter maymay. Would speed this conversation considerably.

If you need to I can move to one of the newest apartments being built by the government. But why would you want to live in my used up apartment. It has been 5 years and renovation period, where we are all directed and helped by government engineers to maintain our living spaces, is next year. Why take a sub par apartment when there are always new ones being made?

I want your apartment and all the new ones.

ill take all the water 2bh pham

l2p

I am sorry, that is a bit unreasonable.

Here, take form #4478. Describe in it to the government why you need every apartment and should they approve your petition I will move.

so I can't just ask for whatever I want and I will have it given to me? what the fuck is this

Well, we are not savages.

The government controls our resources and resource production. You want to take a big portion of those resources so they must at least know of the transaction and in this case approve it.

With minor transactions legality is way easier. You can make transactions on your own. but are legally required to sometime in the following month to register that transaction in the government, so that they can keep updated information of every citizen.

Otherwise, we would simply be victims of weird communist loop holes.

fucking kids that scribble 'memes' all over the whiteboards in the CS lounge

I'm fucking embarrassed to even walk in there anymore. It's bad enough CS attracts some of the most insufferable mother fuckers around. I'm so glad I'm getting out of here next semester.

>That said, communism is obviously superior
>that shitposter with "political opinions"

>1% conspiracy
But the 1%, corporate media and entire political establishment were very clearly arrayed against trump. He's a protectionist directly attacking neoliberalism, the preferred tactics and policy of the broad majority of the bourgeoisie.
I wish professors who insisted on talking about "communism" would bother to learn the first thing about class analysis

>that one group of students that ask every single professor questions to which they know answer to on every possible occasion

im not him but im sure he means literally any retarded popsci question

>student that asks questions just for the sake of asking questions
>student that asks if what we just learned will be on the test

but the real shitlord is
>student that asks questions he already knows the answer to so as to sound smart
honestly that kid deserves to die, you get one in every class

>be first year uni physics
>simple force question
>student looked ahead
>Teacher asks question
>student answer with something he doesn't even understand
>gets it wrong anyways
>teacher not impressed
>student continues to answer simple questions in complicated ways, wrongly
>teacher not impressed
>finally tells student to stop showing off with answers student doesn't even understand
Fuck that student

face it you commie

capitalism is the superior economic system

there was a sperg who did all three of those

If you are born rich, that is.

For everyone else... eehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

>that one guy who does this on purpose to try to run the class out of time

>teacher says something very clearly multiple times
>writes it on the board
>student asks what it says because they cant "read the handwriting"

literally just have to fucking listen to them to know what it says you fucking retard. this guy does this EVERY LECTURE in my class, multiple times. FUCK

apparently last year at my uni there was a kid who kept asking about quantum mechanics but consistently without using any mathematics. The professor told him to go ask the philosophy department in front of the whole class.

This is literally the best way to ask a question you fucking moron. You should always preface questions with your current understanding, so the prof can tell you if you were misunderstanding something before you go into the question.

There's a reason stackexchange fags will roast you if you don't preface your question with your current knowledge on the subject--else it becomes a game of "what do they already know/how deeply should I really answer this"

>student that literally copies the powerpoint slides down as note taking strategy
>doesn't give a single fuck what the professor says
>powerpoints all posted online

This. Most of the CS kids I've met were full of memekids. I've even met one that wore a Pepe shirt.

CS/Math here. Same % of memers in CS as math. Most in both are normies. Stop pushing this

Maybe if it was a one-on-one tutoring session. Otherwise, it's just disruptive. If some guy is babbling a bunch of incorrect information, I am forced to tune it out.

Hasn't it occurred to you that maybe people want to OWN things? This way they can 100% rely on HAVING THE THING in case they need it. Or maybe that being able to buy BIGGER AND BETTER stuff than other people is a great motivator for MANY people to work hard?

>student that asks questions he already knows the answer to so as to sound smart
I hate this guy

That shit is for office hours, not lecture

is that a deep dream pic?

>that "bro" who tries to interact with you during class, whose only apparent purpose in life is to endlessly distract you with inane babbling
OH MY FUCKING GOD, THIS, SO MUCH!
I hate when people start talking to me while I'm trying to pay attention to something else. When the professor gives us 5 minutes to try to solve a problem it may be ok to talk, but after that, when he's lecturing us, just don't fucking talk, it's annoying for everyone in the class.

I do this on purpose to sabotage the grades of betas who can't say no.

Generally I don't need to do that. If you have to pay attention in lecture to get an A in the class, you ain't gonna make it.

I'm from fucking australia and some faggot from the administration decided he needed to send an email out to everyone in the school so he could bitch about trump.

Distracting me from the lecture won't actually have any impact on my understanding of the subject and my grades on it. BUT, sometimes the professor says interesting things that I'd like to listen to, therefore I get pissed off when someone bothers me.

I live in Brazil and some cunts decided to discuss about Trump being elected in the middle of the freaking class. Dude, Trump being elected or not wouldn't change ANYTHING for my country, so why the fuck they felt like that discussion was worth anything?! AND IT WAS A MATH CLASS FFS.

I'd thought Veeky Forums would bother learning about marxism-leninism before speaking about communism.
>ask the government for stuff and see if they give it to you.
>government
Wew lad.

>Or maybe that being able to buy BIGGER AND BETTER stuff than other people is a great motivator for MANY people to work hard?
Wouldn't you want to break free of the rat-race, user?

The only reason we want bigger and better things is so that we can feel better than our peers. Social acceptance is the greatest human desire and it influences our every action. That's why it's not enough to just own a Lamborghini, you have to let everybody know that you have one because deep down inside you know the car by itself won't make you happy. It's the reactions of others that makes you happy.

Unless you're so obtuse that having a bunch of houses for no reason would actually make you happy.

>all communism is stateless
okay

For everyone else their quality of life has risen massively. The idea of a middle class didn't even exist until capitalism and the credit economy started taking root.

>the transitional regime will relinquish power

Commies are the cutest little villains of all time.

>you can't own things under communism
>what is private vs personal property

Yes, it is. That's the definition. It's a far stronger one than "socialism," which simply refers to worker ownership of the means of production.
Mostly communism is a hypothetical end point to history when the state, classes, and money have all become -obsolete- and counter to everyone's material interests. Hypothetical utopias don't interest me, but workers should certainly own the means of production and the full product of their labor

I'm surprised though how often people either deliberately or unknowingly confuse or conflate communism the type of society with communism the ideology.

Sounds like a brazillian public college.

>professor repeats something about 30 fucking times to make a point
>guy leans over to me
>"hey bro what did he say?"

also there's a class where we have assigned numbers, which are used to pass back tests

every fucking time we get them back, at least 10 people can't manage to listen for a fucking two digit number and either have a delay of about 10 seconds before they realize their number was called or keep talking over the professor so nobody can hear their numbers

the talking in general, honestly, it takes 5 minutes after the professor is actively talking for people to shut the hell up

tl;dr why is it SO FUCKING HARD to just be attentive and respectful for about an hour, fucking retarded normalfags

>b-but without capitalism those vietnamese children wouldn't even have a job! globalization raised the standard of living around the world!

sure, but it's also completely ignoring the fact that if you have a small amount of people with a large portion of the wealth you're inherently going to have a large amount of people living in poverty fucked from the get-go

there's clearly a problem that needs to be addressed here

>>that "bro" who tries to interact with you during class, whose only apparent purpose in life is to endlessly distract you with inane babbling
You ever try shushing him? You don't even have to be aggressive about it

Jesus christ

People are always going to be poor. Get over yourself.

>get over yourself
what did he mean by this

also the rest of your argument well articulated friend

brazillian public high school here, can confirm

sounds like any freshman gen ed class. That ends once the business and psych majors are weeded out into their own shit and you work on higher level stuff.

You are wrong. I love driving MY OWN CAR. I love turning on the engine, I love just driving around in it, and I would for the life of me, NEVER share it with other people.

I've always hated sharing my things.

Chile?

>that one phd student who doesn't know jack shit not even the basics and you wonder if he's there just to fill some quota but he seemingly doesn't fit any
???

from chile, story is familiar

>Autistic Asian with heavy accent who challenges the professor on every line they write on the board, even though the professor is always right

>That said, communism is obviously superior

>be instructor for an intro to QM class
>after finishing up spin I ask the class if there are any questions
>no one asks anything
>average on the midterm is 60%
>mfw

Most people ignore the stateless part since it's the least concrete thing in Marxist theorey. When the mechanism for the transistion autocratic state is forced to give up power, Marx literally goes "I dunno." It's an even worse omission when you remember that Marxist theory was considered scientific history until the 30s.

maybe ur midterm sux ever thought about that

dont curve it though, because ur midterm probably doesn't suck and your class is full of brainlets is way more likely

If they didn't know what they didn't know that's your fault user.

There are a bunch of Communist countries worldwide. Since you're not "born rich", why don't you move to one of these worker's paradises?

>communism is obviously superior
I wish that one day you will be thrown into the gulag were you can eat your own shit to survive.

Communism is literally the worst thing that has ever happend to the world hundreds of millions have died for no reason other then to exist and many millions more were wrongfully imprisoned and tortured.

If you belive communism is supperior you should open a history book about the USSR and Maos China.

>student raises hand
>Actually ask a very important question and a 20 minute discussion beginns.
>Turns out that one of the definitions was actually wrong and the professor had fucked up.

This happened multiple times and it was always the same student, a Russian who looked like the son of a mafia boss.

t. someone who doesn't drive

>For everyone else... eehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
Do you actually believe that communism has ever done anything for the working class.

Communism always was the opression of the poor by the rich, in the name of the poor.

Stalin was the worst thing that could have ever happened to the Russia peasents, by far worse then any Tzar ever was.

>That said, communism is obviously superior but come the fuck on
Kek! Third world tier professors, third world tier thinking.

This is a result of globalism. A country can be extremely prosperous without relying on shitface poverty kids in a third world country, look at Axis countries in the 30s. Limit globalism, not capitalism.

>The only two options are communism and all-out free-market capitalism
When will this meme die?

Theoretical communist society:

I want X, everyone has X. Everyone needs X. I can't make X myself
>Okay, lets give you X. Wait, you haven't done anything for society?
Yes, I don't like to work.
>You can't expect to get X if you don't give back to the world
But I need X!
>I can't give you X if you don't do anything. If everyone got X and nobody worked, it would be impossible to generate X.
tfw boor because beoble wont gib X :DDD

>>reiterates everything the professor just said (poorly) before asking his question
I do this to be sure I actually understood what he said.

>lets return to the era preceding the worst global event in human history

lel

>taking a countriy's previous views on economics implies I also need to take a country's previous views on race, eugenics, imperialism, and militarism.

kys my man

>if you have a small amount of people with a large portion of the wealth you're inherently going to have a large amount of people living in poverty fucked from the get-go

I thought you were a math major? This is trivially not true.
Simple example:
99 people are given 1 sweater because it's cold.
1 person is given 99 sweaters.
Then 1% of the people own 50% of the sweaters

Are the other 99 people fucked? No, they have what they need. The only way this would be an issue is if the total amount of sweaters was less than 198. So in short, keep the supply high. Do this by, hmm maybe, actually working?

>this is considered quality discussion on Veeky Forums
Don't bother I already close the tab

I like how Veeky Forums can turn out to be a better political discussion board than /pol/. Then again /pol/ is mostly a meme and people being ironic but whatever.

I don't get the hate on communism. Communism has it's downsides, and so does capitalism. Communism isn't something that can be applied to a community in like the span of 5 years,it has to start from socialism and slowly develop towards communism, that's like the most basic thing Marx said yet everyone ignores it.Most countries that failed to "do communism" is because they went balls deep from the first year, that's extremely stupid and not how communism is supposed to work.

However, while capitalism has helped, the inherent competitive nature of man, which is something that can be toned down, seems to be getting "worse" and more competitive to the point where people forget why humans formed communities in the first place. Capitalism isn't helping on that part, and if we keep using this system we might never outgrow this inherent competitive nature, which eventually will be our downfall.

when did i say i was a math major

also in that example 1% of the people have 99% of the sweaters (not 50% ..)

anyways i don't get what point that proves, it didn't address what i said at all. which was that for extreme wealth to exist, extreme poverty has to exist as well

it literally doesn't make any sense for there to be extremely wealthy people, and then for everyone else to be middle class .. that can't happen

>also in that example 1% of the people have 99% of the sweaters (not 50% ..)
Not sure if you're horrible at maths, or just lacks simple reading comprehension.

>which was that for extreme wealth to exist, extreme poverty has to exist as well
He literally disproved that completly.

Just take a country like Germany, there are many very, very rich people living here.

But aside from very few people, who do not want to work (because that is what it takes to be homeless in Germany), there are no extremly poor people here.

There is not one German ctizen who has to live on the streets, unless he chooses to do so.

Your hypothese does not reflect reality. There can (and in almost all first world countries that is the case) be a society which rich people and without alomst any poverty.

I think you meant to write "one sweater each"

Because it's retarded. It's the 150 year old ramblings of a neet jew who couldn't even teach himself single-variable calculus. There's absolutely no rational reason to take any of it seriously except from what basically amounts to an argument from authority, only the authority is derived from opposition to less retarded, traditional authorities.
It's a snowball of retardation that's been rolling for 150 years. All it's predictions have utterly and completely failed (remember commies insist it's scientific and communism is inevitable), as a rule they've been directly contradicted. All systems who've tried to seriously implement it has turned into to dysfunctional shitholes in the best case and absurd nightmares in the worst.
Any even slightly rational consideration of the world would tell you that it's complete garbage which can be utterly and totally dismissed without any further thought.

>Communism has it's downsides
These downsides include the opression of most of the population and a significant lowering in standard of living for most people.

Communism is an awful thing, capitalism may not be perfect but atleast capitalism can exist without commitng genocides.

The only reason anything exist is because people are competative, the old joke in the USSR was "they pretend to pay so, so we pretend to work" which summs up everything you need to know about communism, if there is nothing in life that you can improve by working hard, you simply will not work hard.
Communism is entirely unnatural to humans and without competatvness nothing will happen, our only chance to achive anything as a species is fighting for it.

Any system which implements communism will fail and if the world starts to adapt communism it will burn.

I have a similar observation from the tutorials, not the lectures
>tutorial
>80% of the class have empty sheets in front of them, and just blindly copy whatever is given as solution

The tutorials are for people who did the problems at home and have questions that go into depth. Why do those shitters clot up the system with their insane questions like "where does the minus come from?" or similar?

It's almost baffling how fucking people don't understand this is the truth.

I have a dumb liberal friend and I told him that Communism has lead to countless deaths, and he fucking looked me in the eyes and said
>well it was probably just not being implemented correctly
Like nigger, IT HAS BEEN TRIED HUNDREDS OF TIMES AND FAILED EACH TIME! DO YOU REALLY WANT TO TRY IT AGAIN!?

whats wrong with wearing a Pepe shirt? im not even a CS fag, but come on pepe is the shit
