What are the main differences between American and European cuisines?

ones is halal

American food is before tax and you have to tip the waiter

Depends entirely on social class and region

The way the wealthy eat in New York and London resemble each other more than the resemblance between the wealthy New Yorker's diet and a poor person's diet in rural Indiana

The way two poor people eat in Portugal and Belarus differ as much as the way poors eat in Louisiana vs New Jersey

Obviously there's lots of regional differences and nuance here, but if you were to look at broads strokes for the average consumer cooking for themselves, then I'd say it aligns to this:

North America:
>More processed/heat n' eat foods
>More snacks
>More potato
>Bigger portions
>Foods flavored with sauce (ketchup, bbq sauce, syrup - sauces not involved in the cooking process)
>More ingredients
>More beef
>Generally heartier

Europe:
>More dairy
>More fresh vegetables
>Fresher food in general
>More bread
>More alcohol
>Foods flavored with herbs and spices
>More seafood

There are probably a bunch more differences, but I think that's enough for now

...

one of them has a food culture, the other doesn't

Europe actually has one, most of American cuisine is stolen from other countries

>amerifats
>yurocucks
LEL

About three cups of trans fat

One of them don't give you cancer.

Had one*

You stole yours too, just a few hundred years earlier.

>muh country is older
>muh buildings are older
>muh food is older

we get it grandpa

>implying all poor americans don't eat the same shitty wal-mart processed food

Walmart has a produce section.

One is not real and the other one originates from Europe.

Niggers, white trash, poor gooks, and Mexicans all eat differently.

90% of American "cuisine" is actually just European

Americans are fat and stupid.

Wales here. This

Yuropoor """"""cuisine"""""""" everyone

>Toast Sandwich

yuro cuisine and cooking is disgusting

"Produce"

Whose kids are eating literal dog shit?

The biggest difference is the age of civilizations. Capitalism/corporatism has had a major damaging effect on the USA, because it's a relatively newer country, while European countries have food traditions from generations. I think a major factor also has to do with the use of supermarkets. Small grocery businesses are getting rarer and rarer, while outside of the USA, you have a local butchers, seafood/fish, fruit and vegetable grocer, bakery!!! Fucking USA has shit bread. Americans pretty much get everything at the supermarket.

kek. literally this

how can we yuros even compete

I realize /pol/ would like us to believe that if you're brown you're not American, but there are in fact poor, brown Americans clustered around major coastal cities, and they're more likely to make an effort to eat what they ate in the old country, even if they're not always completely successful at it

>uk
>europe
topzozzle

God Americans are tiresome
