pt. 2

>Tfw no qt feminist book reading gf

Why do I even continue my existence

>qt
>feminist
generally speaking you can only pick one

That's bullshit and you know it

It's rather hilarious that this book's bound to "trigger" every feminist pseud- on the face of the this planet.

i am willing to accept my defeat if you provide me with some qt feminists desu
generally it should be me who provides since i made the initial claim, but the nature of the statement is such that it would be faster and easier to disprove it rather than prove it desu

if you know any girls at all you'll know the overwhelming majority of modern Western girls inclusive of most the qts are at least mild feminists, one of the cutest girls I know is a radical feminist

Here you go
>inb4 Emma Watson doesn't meet your neckbeard standards

>modern Western
do you mean burger?

>neckbeard standards
I will have you know that I have a qt gf, sir, desu!

I don't find her particularly attractive, but I can't ignore the fact that she is a very popular waifu. Therefore I humbly admit my defeat, desu.

>Sir
>Desu
>Waifu to describe a real person
>I don't find her particularly attractive
Am... am I getting memed on?

search your feelings, you know it to be true.
getting cured does wonders for looks.

she is not deep enough into feminism also if you look at her recent pictures you will noticed a change

Anyone got same actual good reviews?

Most of them are cringe, so it's kind of pointless pointing them out

What's funny is she's probably read more of Paradise Lost than most of the posters on this board.

why would you put all that effort into a goodreads or an amazon review? people post because
1.they have been paid to
2.They want to vent
3.They feel like they need to justify/explain they love/hate for X book least the strangers don't think less of them

I got an audio book. I heard a lot about it but it turned out not to have been in plain English so I dropped it

Well, that's why i asked. It's would be more of a surprise than just posting shitty reviews.

that sweet projection

You can't parse Early Modern English?

Armchair psychology

>Tripfag feels superior
Comedy gold

bbrown writes a lot of great reviews and is fiction wise one of the most patrician people on lit

but is it worth it?
goodreads.com/book/show/3636.The_Giver
look at J.G. Keely

>You can't parse Early Modern English?
I can but it lowers enjoyment

That post didn't really have anything to do with me.

...

So you don't enjoy Shakespeare?

I'm guessing you definitely don't enjoy Chaucer, since he's Middle English.

>So you don't enjoy Shakespeare?
no. even If I enjoy the story the way its told often makes it less enjoyable. When I was on macbeth the only thing I could think was "get on with it"

The guy might be a fedora, but he's right imho. Gass is unnecessarily filthy at times, and I find it unenjoyable and jarring, even though Gass is an extraordinary writer over all.

tldr. site has manga, comics and porn books on it

Are you sure you don't just dislike poetry in general?

This is different, by the way, from work like that of Burroughs', which is necessarily filthy. Just like there is a difference between graphic violence that is just unnecessary and edgy, and graphic violence in a work like Blood Meridian.

I enjoy it as a tool for very short stories, a page or half a page. I get annoyed whenever its used to tell a large story

You didn't know Paradise Lost was an epic poem?

I was a bit disappointed with the blue books obsession with sex over other contexts of blue as well desu.

I did not know anything about it other than it had Lucifer and some musings about God. I don't even recall who wrote it, its not really big in my country.

Which book?

What is your country?

Russia

Do you like Homer?

On Being Blue by Gass

Everyone who's been in a school for more than 10 minutes has read paradise lost, you pseud.

Not in the U.S.

Agreeing with an overwhelming fundamentalism is the same as not having an opinion; you can expect this ideology to, in 'mild feminists', have exactly zero impact on behaviour, past a shifting of whatever bad-words are used to ostracise whomever it's convenient to ostracise.

This is true of men too btw

hi Constantine

Fucking hell this better be a troll. How can you not finish it? It's one of the best pieces of literature ever written.

Maybe if they don't understand something they should look it up, or get an annotated version.

Also, the whole sexism thing is a load of shit. Judging literature from hundreds of years ago by modern standards is nonsensical. Their posts simply lend credence to the notion that women cannot (for the most part, obviously there are outliers and exceptions) think beyond the here and now; they cannot understand that things were different in the past.

These aren't particularly cringe though. There are far worse reviewers, this one honestly admitted that it's too difficult for her and that it's objectively a good book nonetheless.

Crito is the best Veeky Forumsizen reviewer.

t. crito

thanks user

>goodreads cringe thread
>only three images from goodreads

Well done Veeky Forums

Just look at the cover of Willie.

>These aren't particularly cringe though

>I GIVE IT 1/5 CAUSE ITS HARD
>ALSO THEY WERE MEAN TO GIRLS

I dont see how that can be "cringe" fucking retire this pleb word already

at least she was honest and is partially admitting ignorance.

>im stupid
>so im not going to bother educating myself or putting in the effort to understand the book and instead Ill just give it the lowest possible score

Alright Veeky Forums

Write a non-cringe review of Paradise Lost. This should be easy for you patricians.

Had you seen the shit that gets posted here, yes, that would be pretty tolerable.
Does anyone have that Dune review where a woman spends paragraphs upon paragraphs describing her relationship with a guy with a small penis and at the end comparing the penis and the book?

Its a very good book and I reccomend it to people interested in christian philosophy.

>I'm not saying it's bad
>rates it 1 out of 5

>I found myself feeling an immense sadness for Eve
>a work of art made me feel intense emotions
>therefore it's bad

>Does anyone have that Dune review where a woman spends paragraphs upon paragraphs describing her relationship with a guy with a small penis and at the end comparing the penis and the book?

You mean this Sex and Character review?

Shit, did I mix them up? I could swear it was Dune.
Oh well

Kekked, I gotta wonder if this is entirely sincere. Seems like post-post-ironic memery to me.

>brown skinned

Old hags aren't attractive.

Only old hags are feminists, so yes none are attractive.

Nonsense, I'm retaking some introductory English courses, this one focusing a lot on Romanticism and Modernism, and no one had read Paradise Lost besides me and obviously the instructor.

>probably like 14 and already a fucking whore
Typical.

TINY

I want to give Veeky Forums a challenge: Look up a book you love and find a positive review that makes you cringe anyway

That's easy. Look at any positive review of the Count of Monte Cristo.

Not a challenge at all
>Go to Crime and Punishment's Goodreads page
>Second review is purified cringe
>He even put it on his "classics-asian" shelf

reviews for trashy, badly written homoerotic novels are pretty fun 2bh

You would've had sex at age 14 as well, it's just that you didn't have the means of attaining it.

First review I found, have an extract

What the fuck else would be happening.
Still can't get over the schismed-schism, huh?
Nah

I did, just not like a whore. Don't project bud.

Where do you even fucking live. Living in Brazil, all I've fucking read in school was brazillian literature.

Wow, that sucks. We had to read foreign lit because liberals.

This made me hungry

...

This is why women should keep their opinions to themselves. They shouldn't of rated it or done a """Review""".

Are there any actual reviews? It just seems to be people talking shit.

Feminists/women seemingly like to bring muh sexism into everything.

>Skilled lover of women AND skilled shiller of his own work

Is there anything this "le magnificient bastard with le epic beard xD" can't do?

Write

I dislike when author rates or even reviews his own work.

>getting "posttrumantic" depression from reading a book
kys

kek mein Caucasoid

I hate rothfus so fucking much desu

goodreads.com/review/show/327213074?book_show_action=true&from_review_page=1
You mean you don't like Rothfuss' smug meta commentary on pre-release reviews. How can this be

this
you should revel in those reactions, and marvel that words can evoke such an response, that is the essence of art.

From the Goodreads reviews of some book shitposted here awhile ago. Haven't read it but this one makes me kek.

>muh physical descriptions as character development

ok friendo

>should of

It implied you've read it and you know that, don't pretend otherwise.

Still, i had a giggle.

most young pretty Western girls labels themselves feminists bruh

deluded

but m8 isn't it a personal rating and not a rating of its subjectivenoumenalgoodness? why would that be bad

>Implying there is somebody without mental issues and totally sane
