Will post cook along, but first, guess what I'm baking Veeky Forums

Heinz beans?

oatcakes?

Nope

McChicken?

tendies?

...

crumble

OK this was a bad idea.

I'm making brown soda bread.
500g wholemeal flour
200g rolled oats

Next,
60g wheat germ
60g corn flour

2 tsp brown sugar
2 tsp baking soda
900ml buttermilk

2 tbsp olive oil and mix

Panned and in oven for 10m at 230°
Then 60m at 180°

What are ya gonna put on it OP? Butter? Butter sounds good

Primed and ready. Have jam too.
I fucked up the temp and had to fix 20min in so here's hoping it's not ruined

how much is that stuff?
I know their cheese is pretty ridic (good but expensive)

Are you making brown soda bread?

It's $7 so it's more of a treat for me.
I buy their Dubliner cheese as well. American cheese is so bland

A little late to guess but yes I am

>falling for the Irish butter meme

I like the sharp cheddar. The one in the lighter package that's cheaper. Not because it's cheaper but the more expensive one is just too damn sharp for me.

It tastes different, not because it's Irish but because it's from grass fed cows.
Surprisingly, it is cheaper to get Irish butter than to get grass fed American butter where I live.

But I am biased by nostalgia for home

Fresh out of the oven

>irish as fuck/10

Show crumb, please.

Tl;dr

doesn't look that different coming out than it did going in
>show slice with butter now

Am I doing it right?

Yeah, it's not the most aesthetic bread but fuck is it delicious

As requested

All it needs now is some "Irish" butter.

looks damn good. good job OP
so there's no salt in the recipe?

Nope, it seems odd when making but it comes out fine. It's my great aunts recipe

really? and she used olive oil?

Gee I hope the crumb hating guy doesn't show up

>crumb hating guy
Geez there really is a guy for everything nowadays.

Yeah, here's a scan of her recipe.
Keep in mind that her oven is in centigrade. This is the thing that I mentioned fucking up.

Ooh ooh, I know: disappointment!

Your funny joke made me choke on my delicious bread

Yeah, thanks for the crumbshot. Looks good, desu, moist and airy. I've had soda bread come out too dense before, but yours looks good.

Thanks

Nice thread OP.

cool thx OP

But that's not how you spell "power-top boyfriend"
