What's a decent hot sauce that I can add to things that will make it spicy but also has a good flavor?
I hate straight up heat, it's so boring, but I also hate sauces that say they're hot and they aren't much.

What do you guys like?

hot peppers don't taste good dipshit, just get cayenne pepper / unflavoured capsaicin mixtures and add it to already delicious food.

El Yucateco green and brown.

>hot peppers don't taste good dipshit
how retarded can one person be
>just get cayenne pepper / unflavoured capsaicin mixtures and add it to already delicious food.
what a great advice, it's not like OP said
>I hate straight up heat

Cholula

I enjoy Texas Pete is pretty good if you're a poor fag like me.

>Lousiana, Tapatio, Texas Pete
All trash. Low heat and poor flavor.
>Tabasco, Frank's
Mid-tier. Heat and flavor are fine. Especially good with chicken.
>Sriacha
Meme-tier. It's pretty good, but the garlic doesn't meld with a lot of things in my opinion, namely, eggs, chicken, and mexican food. I use it to add garlic and heat.
>Sambal Oelek
The one true scotsman. This is the only option for hot sauce. It has stomach-warming heat, texture, and it tastes like peppers.
>Cholula
Best with eggs tier.

Fght me if you disagree.

That's probably the least spicy hot sauce on that list.

Franks hot sauce is bretty good.

el yucateco is the best sauce you can buy in grocery stores, the mayan recipe to be exact

+1 on El Yucateco

Also Pepper Palace's Black Rose sauce is good. I think you can buy it online if there's not a store near you.

jalapeno stuff is pretty flavorful, but generally not very hot
look into habanero-based sauces (not tabasco habanero though, something consisting mostly of habanero), habaneros have more flavor than normal cayenne chillies and also quite a bit more heat
blair's original or after death sauce is a good example regardless of the cringy chillihead marketing, tasty and quite hot but not ridiculously so

tight shit, i would also argue for marie sharp's

I like the Pickapeppa brand, if you see it try it out.
Also recommend picking up some horseradish. Not all your heat needs to come from vinegar and pepper based sauces.

The variety of flavors is so huge it's not really possible to recommend 1 sauce.

Horseradish is a different kind of heat, I find mustard heat is way more unpleasant at lower levels than capsaicin heat is. Goes right up your nose and burns like hell.

Yeah it's not capsicum but I really like the intense pungency.

It's spicer than Tabasco, Frank's, Texas Pete, and El Yucateco Green

ushotstuff.com/hotSauceHeatScale.htm

If you're looking to maximize heat and have decent flavor, Vicious Viper is my rec.

It says 2 million SHU, but doesn't taste like it. Don't get me wrong, it burns like hell. But it also has a great mix of tropical flavors in it.

It also has the consistency of Louisiana hot sauce, so it's not some thick goop that you can't just sprinkle onto your food.

Me too. Good flavor and not too much heat.

I personally love this stuff. the lovely taste will keep your mind off the searing pain

That stuff tastes like acrid asshole, I'll eat ghost pepper sauce but not THAT ghost pepper sauce

Dave's Hurtin Habanero is a lot better

I gotta disagree with you on this one. It's good for heat, but not so much flavor. I only buy it in a pinch when it's the only spicy thing on the shelf, but I always end up mixing it with something that has more flavor.

One of my favorites: Mad Dog 357 Scorpian. It's spicy but has a great smokey flavor. I put it in a lot of food but it's especially good mixed into ketchup or other tomato products.

Pain 100%

only real answer

...

Mix equal parts, franks redhot, lousiana, and tabasco. Add some cayenne powder. Mix it well and let it sit for a few days or it will taste like straight tabasco sauce. Its the closest to "wings-to-go" suicide sauce I've been able to make.

That got recalled some time ago due to lead contamintion, but everything from mexico has been recalled due to lead at some point in time.
Lucas lime salt, saladitos, etc.

Seconding Pain

Also Hot Ones is good if you don't mind waiting for the backorder to get it. Nice flash of pineapple before the habanero needles your tongue.

Trader Joe's habanero hot sauce

That shit is the bomb

Please don't listen to the following morons

Texas Pete is trash. It has no flavor and the ingredients separate one hour after being opened.

I couldn't find any proof of any recall that El Yucateco has done, not even on the FDA archive. Do you have a link to one? The closest I could find was this which denies any recall, but this was also 4 years ago: businesswire.com/news/home/20130725006479/en/El-Yucateco-Padilla-Import-Sales-Marketing-Response

Secret Aardvark.
>Great flavor, mild hab heat level. Goes well on most everything. Downside getting to be slightly next meme sauce level.

Fofo mama choo's reaper sauce.
>Has ginger sweetness and a bit of asian flavor profile.

Bigfat's 7o8 7 Pot Citrus.
>Citrus and carriban spice profile bretty good.

Lucky dog year of the dog.
>Thai chile, pinapple, garlic and ginger. Another really good asian flavor profile sauce. Most of lucky dogs stuff is good.

Palo alto firefighters sauce.
>There a couple varieties had the normal and the hab version. Good all around texmex style hot sauce if you want a change up from say your tapitos or cholulas.

Hell yeah, El Yucateco is the shit. I've only had Green and Mayan, but they're both great.

you need this or any other scotch bonnet sauce.

its a really unique tasting pepper.

>tabasco green and tabasco garlic are hotter than the original
Yeah let me just go ahead here and tell you that list is a load of shit.

You'll find the same measurements on basically every other Scoville scale website. Maybe you just got a bottle that wasn't very spicy.

Furthermore, Scoville measurements aren't really an exact science.

My personal favorite. Their chipotle ghost is great too.

This stuff is fantastic

I need to try this. I've been having the 357 ghost pepper for years, didn't know they made a scorpion version. The ghost pepper one is one of my favorite sauces, it's such a unique flavor

If you hate Louisiana hot sauce neck yourself.

lucky dog's smoked mild flavor, but they sell spicier varieties too

>it's such a unique flavor

It's hard to describe the flavor of that line, it's just damn good. Like a better version of a chipotle pepper is the only thing I could come up with. I don't think the 357 Scorpian is as hot as the 357 Ghost Pepper if you were looking to go hotter. It's a really good sauce to introduce to people who are just getting into the super hots because you get hit with the great flavor first and the heat creeps up afterwards, rather than heat on contact.

Cholula really isn't spicy, but i've never had a hot sauce that I've liked the actual taste of more.
I know fuck all about hot sauce (britfag), can anyone recommend one with similar flavours that's a little hotter?

marie sharp's is great. i think carrot-based hot sauces are my favorites when it comes to flavor, but it all just depends on the type of food you're putting it on.

got this from some POO IN LOO market and its cash money

>the ingredients separate one hour after being opened
this has never happened to me with any hot sauce but tabasco

For me, it's Tapatio. The best hot sauce south and north of the border!

...

Looks like chlamydia all over them 'peeners

For me, it's thread killers. The best memes on Veeky Forums.

Tapatio.

Don't know if they have that on your side of the pond... I also highly doubt stores here in America would carry it if there weren't so may Mexicans.

Fellow Britfag here.
This is honestly the best hot sauce I've tried in the last few years. It's not painful hot but it tastes great and the heat lasts for a decent length of time.
Though I've yet to try their other sauces.

If you know someone else who's into hot sauces they do a great gift set of their sauces in 'potion' vials.

I'm instantly wary of the quality of any hot sauce that brands itself as "DUDE SO SPICY XXX MELT YOUR FACE OFF BURN IN HELL DEVILS AND SKULLS LMAO"

It might have been bullshit. Or maybe a different hot sauce.

>People still haven't tried this

Disgusting plebeian fucks

Tiger sauce anyone?

Yay, hot sauce thread.

Here's my dinner: Gringo Bandito Super Hot, with a pair of El Monterey beef & bean frozen burritos.

A good hot sauce can make even the blandest processed shitcicles taste like manna.

Wow, that's a great marketing scheme, now I'll never try it

The green is nasty imo, but every other variety is delish

Came here for this. I get the red one though desu senpai

Are you new to super hots?

12-20 habeneros
1 cup vinegar (cider = best)
1 onion
1 carrot

boil and puree
stop wasting money on memesauces
you dont like this recipe, google one

this shit is sweet as fuck I don't think I could stand buying and consuming a whole bottle

This is pretty much the best hot sauce I've had that I bought from a big-box grocery store. It's not very hot, obviously, but it's a really addicting taco sauce.

Unfortunately, those dicks stopped selling it a couple months ago and I had to buy a case from the manufacturer. I just couldn't go without it.

when do my large intestines stop hurting every time i eat spicy food

it kills the parasites

Yeah maybe the 30+
Botlles of tabasco green and original were just off.
Nope

>love the sriracha sauce fast food joints use on their meme sriracha food
>it's light orange instead of red like the stuff you get when you buy it
>order real sriracha based on this thinking it will be as good
>it tastes like shit

where do i get the light orange stuff bros?

>tfw Blair's Mega death is still out of stock everywhere

Ordered my first scorpion pepper sauce. What am I in for?

Same shit it's just mixed with grease so you're eating a greasy meme sauce no shit just add some beef grease to your meme sauce and some mayo

thanks lids

>hot peppers don't taste good dipshit
off yourself, retard

using it a few times until you throw away probably more than half the bottle, because you can't use more than one or two drops without ruining your food.

how can someone eat this much in one sitting? like I know he works out a lot and he keeps busy but god damn. after half of that I'd be fucking stuffed

tiger sauce isn't even hot sauce imo. I think it makes a better marinade or something to brush on a pork chop after its done

I love it

Shrimp sambal is good with a variety of things, I eat it a lot with peanut butter(not the sweet amerilard kind)

Frank's Bufallo sauce goes great with a lot of things, with soups, pasta, pizza, potatoes, whatever. It all tastes good.

Everlasting Flame isn't like that at all. They have milder sauces but I love the taste of that one and the heat lasts a nice length of time.
Like I said, it's not painful hot but it'll clear your sinuses out.

Texas peat.

Great on chick, cheese omelets, burritos, rice.

A good recipe for breakfast: Sharp cheddar omelet with tomatoes, white onions on top with pepper. Top with texas peat.

Fucking outrageous,

>green and brown

lies and slander unless this is what you mean by brown

>sauce
just use peppers as a base for your cooking, like you would garlic or onion

Sometimes dishes need some extra moisture from the sauce.

>Aunt Jemima-looking mascot
>her slogan looks like "Sweet Mofo"

racist-tastic.

can we get a hotsauce with Uncle Ben saying "Sheeeeeeeeeeeeiiiiit, Negro!" on it?

valentina. i really like the hotter version, but the normal one is good too.

...

It specifically says refrigerate after opening, you tard. So do a bunch of other brands

>smoked chipotle tabasco

I practically bleed that shit at this point. It's like dabs, once I started using it more regularly my tolerance skyrocketed

"Sheeeeeeeeit, Nigga!" -Uncle Ben

ftfy

Some of this arrived today, fuck me it's good.

The branding is a bit silly but Dr. Burnorium at least does make a point of having their sauces have flavour, not just heat. If you want pure 9 million scoville capsaicin extract they can do that for you, but the sauces aren't only about the heat.

It arrived just now. This thing burns a lot.

It's probably sriracha mixed with mayonnaise, Wendy's bills theirs as a creamy sriracha sauce for instance and they use mayo. It might also not be sriracha sauce, McDonald's hot sauce is actually buffalo

Dabs fucking suck.
Round 1: Couched for 8 hours, can't even watch videos or operate phone.
Round 2: Can operate now, eat some food, instantly lose high.
Round 3: Can't get high.
Round 4: Can't get high for weeks, have to keep buying weed, up to 4g a day.

You can keep your fucking goo, I'll smoke something that won't make my tolerance go to 4x normal in 3 days.

>a drop of it ended up on a cut on my lips

JUST

Cayenne pepper is bretty gud, got addicted to it since coming to the UK and experimenting with every pepper available because the food here is bland as shit.

>gf buys bhut jolokia salsa as a joke gift
>try it
>it's literally spicy water
>absolutely no flavor, all heat
>throw it out
Taco Bell has some flavorful sauces with a bit of heat to them.
