Lord of the Rings, if it counts as one book. It was well on its way to languishing in the trashcan like the trashbook it is until tasteless acid-casualty hippies used meme magick to replace american folklore with samey eurogarbage.

The one you're too stuck up to read.

Catcher in the rye. No contest

How to Bomb the U.S. Gov't

did you just come from my /pol/ thread?

Nope.

How can anyone stand to read hundreds of pages of this garbage?

It must be awful to live your life and think such negative thoughts all the time.

Just copped it for free and I gotta say I'm impressed. He's obviously a genuine stormweenie and not just pretending, but his ugly hateful perspective on humanity really comes through successfully on an artistic level. Really flexing that art degree, Sam.

Ethan Frome forever and ever.

Anything by Jonathan Franzen.

The Bible. Hands down.
It's done so much damage. Koran too. Miserable junk.

I'm still ashamed I finished this book.

>Catcher in the rye. No contest

It is one of the worst books I've never read. I've tried a few times, but I never make it more than a page. Protagonist is a moody teen -- I should give a fuck if he gets run over?

Having read Journey to the End of the Night (the second worst book I ever read), you would think CITR would be a cinch.

Pic related: worst book I've read. Ever.

Steppenwolf

You need to go back.

Little, Big by John Crowley

I can't understand why Harold Bloom is so fond of it. Someday I'll read it again, but not for a very long time.

Agreed. Had to stop halfway because I couldn't suffer it

his diary.

Are you like me? Identified with Harry in the beginning and then couldn't change with him as the book progressed?

Not that I think it is the worst book, but it was painful to read.

I attempted to read a copy of Left Behind I found on a plane once. Just for laughs.

Every single character in that book is such an unpleasant sociopath that it's just impossible to read.

Knowing that a pretty healthy chunk of Evangelicals in my country take that shit seriously is pretty scary.

Honestly? I read 3 chapters of hitchikers guide to the galaxy and it was so pathetic, I tried to watch the movie too. But to say the worst book? That doesn't make sense. But I do encourage everyone to look up the worst poetry in the universe.

Sam Hyde is embarrassingly unfunny and his fanboys are absolutely pathetic.

You didn't find it at all funny?

literally five thirsty women talking about how "agreeable" they are for three hundred pages

This is dreadful schlock. Also Atlas Shrugged

I have, you fool. I have the answers you lack.
