It's not spooky or anything, it's just very weird and somewhat unsettling. It was also a difficult and slow read (4me) despite it's length--it's the size of a short novella or a longer short story but it reads more like a long, fucked up prose poem.

I really want to read more by her but I can't find anything in English and as an ebook.

I think The King in Yellow is supposed to be pretty scary/creepy.
