I'm looking for something written by a prostitute, that is in some way about her life as a prostitute. Not necessarily autobiographical or completely focused on that aspect.
I know there's some recent ones of college students sucking dick to pay off their loans, and that's fine, but i'd like to read something from before the whole discussion was kinda defined by modern feminist views
I don't know much of good books on it, but watch Life of Oharu

If you can find a translated version of it, there is one or two books by a french prostitute who was called Griselidis Réal. It's really eye opening. Books on her could be worth looking at too.

Christiane F. – We Children from Bahnhof Zoo maybe, but iirc the prostitution part was minor.
I came across another one recently by a supposed "child" prostitute (she’s started at 15 or so?) that kinda started that career because she wanted to have more money. Did seem kinda like a cash grab, and of course it was ghost-written too, I think. Don’t know if it was translated. Original title is: Nimm mich, bezahl mich, zerstör mich! Mein Leben als minderjährige Prostituierte in Deutschland (by one "Lisa Müller") Translated: Take me, pay me, destroy me! My life as an underage prostitute in Germany

>Christiane F. – We Children from Bahnhof Zoo that fucked me up when i read it at like 11 years old
thanks for the suggestions so far, what i'm really looking for tho is something as neutral as possible ... with stuff like bahnhof zoo, those people were forced into prostitution.. historically and even now with "soft" ways of prostitution / selling your body like camwhoring, porn, escorts, a lot of people do it because they want to, or because they're curious and somewhat opportunistic, rather than forced into it by serious financial pressure or worse
i'd like to read that.
to be super desu i'm a loner faggot who can't into women and i've been thinking, mostly as something hypotethical - about seeing an escort, and i've been reading authors who (or at least whose characters) visit brothels and they talk about it almost as if they're going to a drive-in, without taboo or shame, and some respect for prozzies, and i've been wondering what that same interaction looks like from the perspective of a hooker with the horizon and brains to write about her experience, if that ever happened

he was a male prostitute for his junk habit, but the OP didn't specify female. Seems implied, but I figured what the hell, it's a good read. And it's a diary by a semi-respected poet. (There was a movie of it but it sucked.)
I recently re-read Please Kill Me and there are a lot of tangential accounts of prostitution in there, too. Dee Dee Ramone, Nancy Spungen, Joey Ramone's crazy girlfriend; the whole Warhol factory, tranny, and groupie scenes all intersect.

I Was a Teenage Dominatrix by Shawna Keeney. She'll swear up and down doming isn't prostitution but we all know the truth.

I don't know. Have you checked out Memories of my Melancholy Whores?

Autobiography of a Geisha
It's the memoirs of a hot springs geisha, which is basically a prostitute, and her life during and after. It's fairly interesting.
Luis White
Read 'Paying For It' by Chester Brown, OP. It's a autobiographical graphic novel written from the perspective of a guy just like us - wants sex without the hassle. Visiting escorts/parlors is /more/ normal than going to a drive-in, and I'd recommend it as long as you take precautions and do your homework beforehand.

I've really enjoyed her blog for many years, it's basically what I read around lunchtime mostly, she's quite redpilled and rational on most any topic and a grounded woman.
I'm fairly certain she put out a book or even more :) Enjoy!
