I first found cookout when I was attending university living out of my car and oh man it was a godsend.

So I'm going to toss up a regular burger with chicken nuggets, cajun fries, and a huge tea. Ask for hot sauce at the window.

It's cheaper than other fast food for the ton of food you get and a fuckload tastier than most other chains.

Lower your expectations. Lines are like they are because of how crazy cheap it is. You've had a better version of everything on their menu. But at the same time nothing is bad as well so its always money well spent.

That is an old menu. The Cook Outs in the Augusta Georgia area have extra options for sides including: Fried Okra, Chicken Quesadillia, Beef Quesadilla, Cheese Quesadillia, Bacon Wrap, Chicken Wrap, and possibly others.

Also, you only get to order one item from the top. You don't get a big double burger and chicken strips; you only get one with two sides and a drink.

I'm fine with most of the combo items, but it's what I recall ordering about a year ago. Went fairly often when they expanded to my town, but I haven't gone much due to the low/non meat eating family members.

The big double is two 1/8 pound patties. Same amount of beef as the quarter pound.

as says they are the same total weight but its a trade off either way. The 1/4lb doesn't get much bun coverage but it is thicker and juicier. The 2x1/8th gives you a lot better bun coverage but because it is so thin does tend to be drier. You also have to remember toppings are the same either ways so some "styles" lend themselves to certain burgers.
