disdain for the less gifted and mundane

I don't like nursing students because they're cliquey, predominantly female, and bitch about how hard their major is on social media. They're like computer science majors, but they aren't even aware their major is a meme.

Is she an archaeologist? Because I got a large bone for her to examine.

is not very intellectually stimulating.
it's not easy to memorize 10000 different proteins, sugars, fats and other organic molecules, but you don't need to be intelligent either

>Med School
>Rote Memorization
>Kek

You touch sick people for a living.

My best mate is a med student. I dated a med student. They're airtight but their superiority complex is often stronger than normal for students.

my girlfriend is studying for her MCAT. Its funny that she is struggling to understand the concepts after getting straight As so she could get a good transcript. Straight fucking As through all of gen chem, ochem, biochem, physics and bio. Its nothing but rote memorization and sucking up for letters of recommendation.

They can't keep a conversation that doesn't revolves around them.

this

Honestly, probably because they feel like doctors get a lot of undeserved recognition. This is as opposed to them (I'm assuming math/basic science grad student types) who do a lot of research, but people assume they're just burnout pre-meds. Just my guess

It's because of your noble beginning as a healer and teacher of good health you have transformed into a shill for big pharma and teacher of nothing.

They think they are hotshot even when you make more than them.

Example, I make 510k personal profit for my company, parents know this, friends know this, everyone knows this.
But when a doctor comes along they all compare the doc to me being at a higher level, even though doc here makes less $$$ than me.

Also from when I was in school all the medkids acted holier than thou, even though their shit was easy and I doubt any of them could have finished a degree in engineering or in physics.

Also it does piss me off that rote memorization and 80hours rotation weeks is seemingly special and taken as being extremely difficult.

Idk op, maybe it because I make more than them but they are put on a higher societal scale than me, even though I worked less than they did in a quarter of the time.

Straight up a lot of them are cunts, and when I mention how much money they make, they get all hostile, even the old farts and they start comparing me to them, I usually just bluntly say I make more money than you from going to school for 4 years instead of using up 12 years of my life, also i'm fit as fuck and can fight so I can get away with that shit.

But they are generally fucking cunts m8, wall street boys make fun of them and I like making fun of them even though they act like cunts.

They act like it's the hardest shit in the world and if you see a nurse working a long shift you should kiss their feet as a sign of massive respect for their gracious sacrifice.

Also, Gray's Anatomy put female med-students (90% of them) on a pedestal and they believe every person they treat is a life personally saved, as opposed to the actuality where they are mostly wiping asses and pouring out piss cans and being the doctor's bitch.

Summed it up well.

cringe that you tell everyone your earnings
between that and your insisting that people's worth is measure by the money they make I'm detecting a personality issue here.

3rd year med student here that's laughing his ass off at all of you thinking that medicine is just memorization.

Because Veeky Forums is actually /math/ and for those who just like to shit post.

That being said what's with the increase in medical related threads? Not that I mine, hell I need some advice on if I should retake the MCAT but Veeky Forums doesn't seem like a great place to ask.

Medicine is a glorified trade it is neither math nor science

They are the biology/chemistry equivalent of engineers

>implying 3/4 of physicians aren't in it primarily for the cash and prestige

Get that shit outta here you dumbfuck

Prestige sure but dedicating all those years and hard work for a physicians salary is incredibly stupid. You would make far more for less work with a PhD in finance and other business paths.

Get that shit out of here you even bigger dumb fuck.

Normies still think it makes good money nigga get outta here

what does a meme mean in Veeky Forums context?

...

this desu

>sees people hating on med students
>assumes that it's out of envy
THIS is part of the reason I hate med students... they think everyone automatically wants to be them.

Self-absorbance, arrogance.
Also, you ruin the rest of the bio and chem courses.

You bitched the entire semester about how hard Calc II was saying "this professor sucks!" when you were actually just a terrible student who had no natural talent, which isn't inherently a bad thing, but you also didn't make an effort and chalked up your poor performance to your perceived faults of the professor.

ADDITIONALLY, you act like hot shit. You think your field is the only thing that fucking matters when this is just patently false. You generally disregard the merit of other fields of study, circle-jerking each other about how you're going to be such great doctors one day when it is most likely the case that you'll all end up as washed up with little to no real accomplishments.

Sure doctors and nurses provide a noble service to the world, but you are not the greatest people in the world. Also to anyone who is planning on being a simple general practitioner, you will be replaced by machines.

ITT: really salty individuals.

Holy fuck, you must have a microscopic penis

They make fun of them because the work a doctor does isn't on the same intellectual level as a scientist/mathematician.

The vast majority of work a scientist does can literally be done by a trained monkey. Mathematicians, that's a different story.

Can you elaborate on the work a scientist does? I've read a statistics textbook for scientists and engineers and it seems like they just blindly use techniques like ANOVA that they know nothing about.

You don't need to know about something if you know it's what you should use for your situation.

It's like paint, you know you need a green so you use the green paint, the chemical make-up isn't important.

Ya, like using bleach and ammonia to clean up a spill!

Well, in my country, those that are the best in chemistry, biology, math and physics in high school tend to go into medicine. Not only because it's well respected, but because the MD helps a lot in research world. It's easier for me to get into some wetlab research by saying I'm a med student than by being a cell/molecular biology student.

Also, turns out I really find surgery interesting.

You're right, it's not even that, you just end up googling everything anyway.

O shit

Kek this is a mighty redpill senpai.

Also only clicked thread becos attractive brunette gril.

Have some more attractive brunette gril.

Most people don't understand return on investment. While being a med student provides horrifyingly terrible ROI until you are at least 40, most people get meme'd by the insane money making ability and prestige of being a doctor once you are about 45+

The degrees that have best immeadiate ROI are probably finance, applied math degrees (if you become an actuary or absolutely anything that is in finance), and Engineering. Engineering has slow wage growth so you have to go become a consultant or manage other engis to actually make a lot of money as opposed to a slow crawl from middle class to upper-middle class, finance and by extension their applied math buddies don't have to worry about this.

>t. not physicist

>t. not an english speaker

underrated

hilarious

A meme degree is one that normies believe will earn them a fuckload of money immediately out of college and thus are inundated with a bunch of morons who think basic tasks in their field are a challenge.

Your penis must be very small you insecure twat.
You don't become a MD or DO for the money. You do it because you genuinely want to relieve people of their suffering.

1st year math student laughing his ass off that you think I care what you study.

do you think the majority of these Indian and Chinese overachievers who only care about their grades actually have compassion for others?

>You do it because you genuinely want to relieve people of their suffering.

Partially true. It's job security, sort of decent money, different specializations for different personalities, interesting job AND relieving people of their suffering.
As a 4th year medfag I understand that it's a bad return of investment but I would also hate myself if I ended up being code monkey or crunching numbers all day.

They are kings of the brainlets

let them have it. they have a life time of being underpaid and over worked. as the hospital they work for staffs only a third of the nurses actually needed.
because the med school dropouts come back to the STEM colleges to use their credits toward a chemistry or biology degree. while they still act like they are better.

This

>tiny penis detected

here's a reply for your self esteem OP

No, shes a botux covered pseudo-porn actress from bongland

this thread is fucking hell. your opinions dont matter !!!

Still less autism than maths students.

I don't understand how Compsci is a meme. Is it because any coding language can be self taught? Because by that root, universities shouldn't even matter since everything can be self taught. I would appreciate an explanation.

>nursing
>medical student

Nursing is not medicine. It's nursing. It's not a hard major but the work is hard. It's basically a labor job. The pay is justified. If anything, nurses don't get paid enough.

Dunno. As a pre-med that majored in physics, I've never encountered many of my "ilk."

best programmers barely graduated college.....

>I don't understand how Compsci is a meme

Because it's full of idiots who are just barely doing enough to get by. You don't find people like that in Mathematics or Physics.

>Because by that root, universities shouldn't even matter since everything can be self taught. I would appreciate an explanation.

Meh, I'd contest that lab skills can be self taught. Procuring lab materials is much more difficult for a civilian than getting what is necessary to learn math/computer science (i.e. excellent textbooks [Most of the classic books are available online] and a computer made post 2010)

...

Ya right

>bongland

So uh, the Netherlands?

Because of shit like this that gets published.

math.berkeley.edu/~ehallman/math1B/TaisMethod.pdf

How new are you

Being a biofag, premeds become extremely annoying. They don't care about the science or biology in the slightest, and often complain about learning biology that doesn't relate to fucking medicine.

>1st year math student
>says he doesn't care but posts in this thread
k

fuck off newfag

that is a really good bait. user, im gonna use that.

I am studying to be a surgeon, however I do dislike most med students. They're hard to have an intellectual conversation with, are predominantly female, don't appreciate math or science, and just want to do their job because it's "helping people" or society looks up to doctors. It's really sad to see this stuff. Just go on YouTube and watch some videos med students put out and you'll understand.

> freckles
> not once

Fuck med kids, fuck science fags, and fuck unemployable math cunts. Business school is where its at.

her nose looks jewish. she can no longer be anything above a 6/10.

you think you're hot shit mr, I'M A BIG SHOT SURGOEN. Why don't you just kill yourself. i hope you leave a scalpel in some dudes asshole when doing surgery on his asshole, and then you get sued big bucks. fuck you. i hate surgery students more than all other students. you're all nothing but big babies.

>fuck off newfag
look at this newfag trying to act like an oldfag. newfags, when will they lern?.

Wow she's beautiful.

Are there any videos of her getting spit roasted and/or anal gaping?

writing however in the middle of a sentence without appositive commas....

WEW

>1st year math student
enough said

So if it's such a shit job, then they can STFU about it, right?

>Because it's full of idiots who are just barely doing enough to get by. You don't find people like that in Mathematics or Physics
Nice projecting. There are successful people in every field.

>they are generally fucking cunts m8
Writes a fucking essay on superiority to doctors and generalizes millions of kids off less than 20 ppl

Her nose is broken.

...

Hey, I'm premed majoring in Physics! Neat. There aren't many of us.

medicalschoolsuccess.com/med-school-hell-all-about-the-benjamins/

Genuwine laff

>medical student
>calc II

wot?

You faggots are confusing pre-meds with medical students. A small fraction of pre-meds actually make it to medical school, and none of you probably interact with any med students in your classes.

god she's beautiful.

8/10 would approach her and mumble at my feet while she laughs at me

underrated

If you want to interact with med students, just go to a teaching hospital. Watch for a group of people in lab coats moving together all over the place. The one at the front is the actual medic, the rest are all students. They'll do all the crappy boring work and then report back to the doctor.

I TA'd a bunch of chem labs and the students that kept haggling over 1-2 points on a lab report were invariably pre-meds. Very annoying when the paper is already >95/100.

>Nurses think their job is "complicated"
How hard is it to swap out a shit pan?

>kept haggling over 1-2 points on a lab report

That's just basic survival skill. Those 1-2 points might seem like nothing to you but in medical school, where everyone will be smart and get like 95% grades, those measly 2 points might represent the difference between matching into radiology or family medicine. People will literally do anything for those points. In my experience medical school was a sociopath breeding ground. People worked not only to increase their grades but to put classmates down. One woman arrived early, hid the patient charts from the rest of us and then told us the class had been canceled to make go home.

Just give them the points and they'll go away quickly and leave you alone. Take solace in the fact medical school will turn their lives into hell and make unpaid hospital slaves out of them. They will work more hours than they're legally allowed to with zero recourse.

Are you that guy who fucked the premeds in that epic graduate student general thread?

most medical schools require a bare minimum of calc 2

sorry I'm not american, we don't have pre-med here.
