Physics major

>Physics major

What path should I take if I want to do research in renewable energy?

Well what kind of renewable would you prefer to research?

Fucking birb thinks it's still a dinosaur

condensed matter

if you want to go into fusion focus on plasma physics

Did it died?

>renewable energy
Let's meme Nuclear Fusion into Reality.

Did you think that post would be funny?

Change your major to engineering or materials science (usually a concentration of chemistry). All physicists do nowadays is look at space

Realise renewables are not going to satisfy our energy needs and go to nuclear physics

dumb bird, the cat was just playing

>engineering or materials science
This. The person who makes a real Shipstone will be both a major figure in the sciences and filthy filthy rich.

Obviously samefag

Nope heres proof. Excuse my mobile

The Path That Takes You To The Highest Possible Vertical Drop.

Came here to say this.

One of the professors at my university does a lot of work with the ITER Tokamak in france and pretty much all his research is in superconductor physics.

Holy shit have you ever seen a living creature so rekt

Switch into material science and engineering

Nuclear power is dead. Get over it.

Far from it. As the 3rd world develops, we'll need much more energy than your renewables could supply. You'll see people return to reason over muh environment feelings.

Don't bother, nuclear fusion would be a better use of your resources.

>tfw when doing condensed matter research at the #1 school for it in the US

Literally the fastest growing physics industries are optics/photonics and soft matter. Astro is stagnant. How could you be so wrong
