Inspiring anime music like youtube.com
If I run out of inspiring anime music then anime music is good enough, I guess. And if I run out of anime music then no fear, other japanese music is good. I personally like Hatsune Miku's voice a lot. Like, a lot. I may be in love with her voice.
And if I run out of japanese music well then I'm fucked because japanese music is the only music that exists.
Ambient
Norwegian metal bands
I listen to thrash metal, and occasionally some hardcore punk. I use it as a way of blocking out all sounds so I can actually think in peace.
>all this non-japanese music
Fucking degenerates. It's time to go back to /reddit/.
Nothing when i try to understand a concept/first study something.
All kinds of concertos with a preference for
Brahms/Schumann/rachmaninov when i'm doing exercices/working.

This user. I mainly listen to VN soundtracks
Hardcore breakbeat
nothing you fucking retard you should pay attention to the material
Silence is best when studying. Music is, however, good for mindless tasks or keeping you awake. Sometimes staying awake is all you need.
Recently I've been listening to synth music like carpenter brut and the hotline miami games osts. Touhou music is pretty good too. Hell touhou music is practically designed for cognitively demanding tasks.
Also, don't forget to drink your electrolytes when you're doing a multiple day no sleep stint, otherwise you can get seizures
classical or cyberpunk sounding music since i'm doing engineering (no bully)
when im doing practice problems then usually embarrassing pop music or anything else upbeat

The music of silence
Arnold Scönberg.
It depends on what kind of work I'm doing. For math I tend to listen to classical or really anything without lyrics. I feel like hearing words wastes precious processing power since I need that area of my brain for reading proofs and problems. Plus, it helps me concentrate for some reason.
For writing I tend to listen to music that fits the tone of the paper I'm writing. I noticed a while ago that what I'm listening to significantly impacts my tone. I can listen to stuff with lyrics since I don't need to use the part of my brain that does text processing, I only need the part for generating text. Generally I listen to some type of metal or anything that seems interesting or innovative (Venetian snares, death grips, Phillip glass, Andrew Jackson jihad, Nenia C'alladhan, meshuggah, puscifer, etc...)
How do you not have Tool in there?
I can't concentrate while listening to anything. Would eventually being able to listen to something while studying boost my understanding or should I just stick to my usual silence?
just flip on NTS.live
i check the radio stations first, if theyre playing weird shit ill just browse some earlier sets for
> jazz (prefferably fast jazz no singing)
> techno (minimal)
> DnB (the good shit not the retarded shit lately)
> classic / ambient music is always good
Dvorák

I listened to tool a lot when I was younger so I'm a bit burnt out on them. They do fit the criteria though. That was mostly just a random selection of stuff off the top of my head so obviously it doesn't include everything that I find to be innovative or interesting.
Do what makes your studying most efficient. I personally have a harder time studying in silence. People are different. You can experiment with music with and without lyrics for different topics but if you have no problems concentrating in silence then silence is fine.
I have no reason to believe that music will do anything beyond helping some people concentrate for extended periods.
You might enjoy this. youtube.com
coltrane and sometimes hardcore punk
Punk is the pajeet of music.
This masterpiece
Lots of prog

First, kill yourself my man. You've never heard a truly good song in your life. Second, get the fuck out of here. Back to r/Veeky Forums for you.

Jambands, so usually a random Grateful Dead or Phish show

I usually listen to some chill and relaxed music so it doesn't distract me too much.
I'll listen to Grizzly Bear, Flume, Frank Ocean, ect.
Hotline Miami 2 ost is my food
I'm employed. One set of tasks is tedious but requires minimal thinking - just concentration. So I usually queue up trance - John Digweed, Simon Patterson, Euro techno/trance, Stacey Pullen, Nick Warren...
