Where do I go from here? More Stephen King, or should I go to a new author?

>I liked It

You kill yourself for liking genre trash.

I'll kill myself for something else l before I consider killing myself for enjoying a fun book.

I've never read It, but I'm reading the Dark Tower series and it's really enjoyable. So I don't know if you'll like it, but give it a try.

I liked the first book of the Dark Tower series "The Gunslinger", but the series does get better as it goes. Some people don't like the first book that much.

>inb4 pleb tier shit

Veeky Forums hates any genre fiction, so their opinion matters not.

Dark tower series is definitely his magnum opus, the adventures of Roland deschain changed my life. Would def recommend that, or perhaps one of his coked out novels (cujo, misery, tommy knockers)

>better than The Long Walk
You better take that back. The Long Walk is no masterpiece, but it's infinitely better than King's big books, that are always overly stretched and as anticlimactic as possible.

The Stand is a special brand of shit though.

I did like The Long Walk but it felt as if SK wanted to focus too much on the characters and not enough on the actual story. Though, after remembering the child gangbang scene in It, I think The Long Walk is better.

I was thinking about reading Misery. Or Salem's Lot so that I could get ready for TDT series.

You just read his best work so don't read any more King, you'll just be disappointed.

New author. You've read It and The Stand, so it's nothing but downhill from here.

Read Gerald's Game next

I liked Pet Sematary but the ending was pretty abrupt and left me dissatisfied.

I love It but....as far as King goes, you might want to just stop there.

Hate the stand with a passion, and I've enjoyed a lot of king books. I don't understand how it doesn't piss more people off.

Why? I can understand the hate for the last third of the book, but the first part is an amazing achievement for fiction. And I liked the ending with Trashcan and the bomb. It just goes to show the amount of reincorporation that happens in the book between the antagonists and the protagonists.

Oh, and the second plague was pretty cool.

>liking child pornogrophy

I felt the same, that's one of the few books that actually pissed me off reading it, I felt it was so bad. It was insultingly.....wave it's tiny dick right in your face, kind of bad.

Have you tried more of the Richard Bachman books?

I hadn't read Salems lot before DT and it was fine

Gotta agree with the thread here, Dark Tower is god-tier. His best book outside that series is definitely It; everything after that is a pile of garbage.

so many feels

The running man is good....'bout it.

What is the point of Beaverly's gangbng

So that they could "reconnect and strengthen their bond" to find their way out of the sewers. Alternatively, SK was coked up while writing this book and created some of the weirdest scenes (case in point: the blood in the sink, Henry and the other kid's jack off part, etc.)
