First of all, look at the artstyle. That's not Rebuild.
Secondly, Kaworu -was- an Eva pilot and -did- wear a plugsuit in the original. In only one scene, admittedly, so I can't blame you for missing it (it's when they're doing synch testing). But the design was regularly used in merchandise and art and such, as we see here.

I personally found the part about the crimes to be the least entertaining for me, although in saying that I could of put loads of pictures in the 'what i got section;' considering it was a large book but I could only fit so much.
