Does genius level IQ come with a sprinkle of autism or does just the right amount of autism make a genius level IQ?

Autism is brain maldevelopment that very seldom yields a superior configuration, in a few aspects, that it otherwise would have. It's brain damage, just like Rainman had agenesis of his corpus callosum, something that generally leaves someone very low functioning across the board.

Differing brain configurations != autism. Differing behavior from the norm != autism / mental illness / whatever mechanical "problem". Genius is simply a system that had the proper starting state, and was shaped by the correct signals at a given point in time. There is no, inherent, connection to the other shit.

If I had a reaction folder, this is where I'd use a pepe ENOUGH image. Seriously, for fucking fuck's sake already, shape up.

>Genius is simply a system that had the proper starting state, and was shaped by the correct signals at a given point in time

>humans are just machines without free will

The concept of "free will" only makes sense if you pre-assume the existence of some magical unmeasurable force which controls your body from some unknown place in an unknown way like some marionette.

So far all evidence shows that everything the mind does is purely mechanical and following the laws of physics.

If you have some spiritual beliefs about a soul then please take them to /x/

It's true that most autists aren't math or science geniuses, but neither are most non-autists. It's also true that autists are overrepresented among mathematicians and scientists

People do exaggerate and joke that nerdy people are autistic when they aren't really. But some of these math/science people totally are. I knew a guy in grad school who would walk down the hall all the way against the right wall all the time, and he would just look at the wall while he was walking and never look at you even if you passed him and you knew him and had spoken with him many times before.

That's correct.

So maybe not low level autism but people who are highly intelligent sometimes show signs of having aspergers. Like Einstein or Isaac Newton. There may be no direct correlation between autism and genius because genius is so rare. My question is from the curiosity of why geniuses usually have some kind of mental illness. I think that the illness may be partly responsible for their great success.

Autistic people think differently.
It takes someone who thinks differently to make a theory, discovery or invention that hasn't been thought of before.

There is no relationship between autism and genius. This is bullshit normies came up with.

>scientists (including mathematicians) scored significantly higher than both humanities and social sciences students, confirming an earlier study that autistic conditions are associated with scientific skills.

This study proves that Math & Science Genius are more likely to be Autistic.
And Humanities Fags are Normie Plebs.

>And Humanities Fags are Normie Plebs.

tell us something we don't know

Einstein seems more schizotypical than autistic tho

Vaccinate your children or else they will grow up to be neurotypical social scientist chad stacy normie scum

nature.com/news/autistic-mice-make-littermates-less-social-1.22411

If vaccination really turned children into Autistic Genius.
I would vaccinate all my offspring.

>It's brain damage
Autism/Aspergers keeps the part of the brain that makes children adept at learning open into adulthood tho, and it's associated with high prenatal testosterone correlates with high IQ.

feynman was no where near autistic though

We have no actual free will, but the structures in our brain that manifest consciousness are so god awfully complex that its a trivial point.

THey're totally unrelated. You were told this lie to make retards feel better about themselves.

I've wondered if massive teenage drinking induces something similar. Morphological and functional changes in dendritic spine formation seem to be relatively permanent, with a much lower potential for formation of mature spines.

>Source
Was blackout drunk at least 3 days per week for around a year. Was scarcely anything other than drunk or hungover. Seem to be significantly less retarded when it comes to evaluating and incorporating information than other people.

No they aren't totally unrelated. Being more susceptible to social signals naturally makes it easier to make you lose focus on work if someone would want to try to do that to you.

That's because some traits associated with helping scientific skills (which also on the flipped can hinder them in school as well, day to day life and other things)

Basically it's a lottery based on what the autist meshes with something. Great if it's Science or the Arts, bad if it's Sonic the Hedgehog and RWBY fanfics

That obsession trait is not the real benefit of autism to learning. It is the not being so easily distracted by social signals.

>It is the not being so easily distracted by social signals.

It''s easy to not get distracted by that though.

>asspies delude themselves into thinking that the great eccentric thinkers are on their spectrum
its the schizophrenia spectrum that produces great minds. The mind detached from bodily experience is unparalleled in creativity. Autism people are enslaved to certain ways of thinking that may or (most likely) may not be beneficial
there is a difference between being indifferent to/afraid of social cues and not understanding them at all.

While Albert Einstein, Isaac Newton, John Von Neumann, Edward Witten, Schrödinger, Gauss & Euler were all Autistics with High IQ
Feynman had Low IQ. His Low IQ explains why Feynman wasn't Autistic. Feynman was one of the few exceptions of Very Sociable but Successful Scientist. Feynman had the [math]\mathbb{PHENOTYPE}[/math] like the other genius though.

>he doesn't know about top-down causation and complex realization
See this is why I implore simple minds to study biology instead of physics.
life doesn't play by the second law of thermodynamics, it plays with it.

Feynman, low IQ? Bullshit. Look it up.

Check thread
>Feynman had a verified IQ of 125. Despite his low IQ he did amazing things
>Feynman has a verified IQ of 125
>Feynman couldn't get into MENSA (IQ too low)
>Feynman did amazing work in physics despite his low IQ
>Most people here on Veeky Forums are verified smarter than Feynman

>Why aren't most people on Veeky Forums doing great things in math & physics despite being smarter than Feynman?

>Feynman is PROOF you can have a low IQ and do amazing work.

>only makes sense if you pre-assume the existence of some magical unmeasurable force which controls your body from some unknown place in an unknown way like some marionette
That is called life. It is in principle an abstract entity that can posses the concrete. This is done by interpreting meaning from information represented in concreta

You're literally retarded. Feynman was an unequivocal genius. Stop with that fucking meme he won national math competitions and got the highest reported score on the MIT entry exam

IQ is stupid measure outside children development.

Now that CRISPR/Cas9 makes manipulations more likely, this question will be raised. Many autists are unhappy yet it appears that autists are important in progress.

Will it then be ethical to leave the genes unedited and bring forth more suffering just to advance a nation?

...

what an awful time to live. soon we'll have to compete with an army of genetically boosted chinese geniuses as well as AI.

I am literally autistic.
Ask me questions (please).

>tfw I accidentally replied to someone
I cringe at myself

We can create genetically boosted slav geniuses as a countermeasure.

doesn't really help me.

Sorry for accidentally replying to someone. I am officially diagnosed with autism and have shown symptoms since I was 2 years of age. I can tell you my experience growing up if you'd like. I am high-functioning autistic rather than asperger's, there is a thin line for the difference but now it's all referred to as Autism Spectrum Disorder. Questions?

I wanna ask questions.
1) Are you a math guy?
2) PhD?
3) As a kid did you to olympiads?
4) Did you win?
5) Are you jealous of non-autists who have the same talent as you but have social lives?

By the Schizophrenia spectrum you mean negative symptoms exclusively? Because psychosis can cause people to lose 20 IQ easy. Schizophrenia is actually more common than people think but people can only look for "da voices". Negative symptoms are permanent.

1. Yes
2. No, but I want that Doctorate dammit.
3. What is that?
4. Maybe?
5. I have little talents other than having eidetic memory and arithmetic skills. Literally all autism gives you. The sensory issues are bullshit and absolutely fuels neuroticism. I have no friends because I only make friends with people smarter than me and women that I want to get in the bed with. Cringeworthy but honest. I actually struggle with basic shit like a normal conversation.

2) At what point of your education are you?
3) Math olympiads. Like IMO,
USAMO, etc.

Given that you are delivering and I'm interested I am going to give you more questions:

6) Have you had sex before?
7) What relations do you have with your professors?
8) Are you published (they say you are not truly autistic until you publish an article in pure number theory)
8) Would you make this trade: Your intelligence gets lowered to the level of slightly above average normal people and your social skills get increased to the level of slightly below average normal people.

>normalfags on my level

They don't exist or they would not spend money on people keeping track of me wherever I fucking travel. Why would they spend those resources if I am not exceptional at least?

>blackboard bold
I approve

Hard abd efficient work. Also looking decent for a guy in a hard science field helps a ton.

You really don't know how beneficial having nearly every other man in you upper level classes being socially inept to a hilarious degree and little to no grooming can make you look hot in comparison. Literally made my sex life a breeze since the only socially competent men were 3 guys already married and a Chad.

2. Homeschooling
3. No
6. No, I probably will never have sex or I might pay an escort to fuck me. I wanted to live in Vegas or Nevada anyway.
7. Not in college because I need a diploma, it's a bit harder home schooled.
8. No
9. I don't want good social skills. I just want to be successful in something I like.

>I am high-functioning autistic rather than asperger's, there is a thin line for the difference

What is it exactly

I have very monotone speech, I don't look people in the eye, and I have complex mental issues that range more than just not having friends. Asperger's is like social anxiety with atypical symptoms.

1. Yes but I'm majoring in EE, not Math.
2. No, but I want it.
3. Yes, 3 regional math Olympics.
4. no (tfw almost)
5. I hate them

yeah you should def try that as you learn a lot about yourself, just don't have too high expectations. :)

Try what?

pay for it and see how you perceive the experience. what did you feel. what do you think she felt.

Would not do that, there is a lot of trust needed for intimitacity. and payed sex is not enjoyable.

So you have tried it. Or how else would you know?

Yup. Chinese leaders have no hesitation in improving people. Eliminating hereditary diseases will save them billions in expenses, improving intelligence will gain a lot, especially as plain production will be lost to machines and other countries.

yes

top-down causation can still work with determinism

What does that have to with geniuses?

Does Einstein's theory explain why time flies when you're having fun?

But Feynmans great skill was mostly in conveying ideas to others wasn't it? He was mostly known for being awesome at explaining stuff to students.

Autism is a meme.
> speakt about autism
> uses !=

>He was mostly known for being awesome at explaining stuff to students.
What??

He is best known for a Nobel prize in Physics.

Sure, the Feynman lectures are brilliant as are his books but this idea that a person can only do one great thing must end.

>t's also true that autists are overrepresented among mathematicians and scientists
Back up your claims with a source you fucking autist

>shape up

What?
