Okay why wouldn't it exist?

It could exist on a large enough planet

statistics

Maybe. The ocean is a big place.

Blue Whales are pretty big. Is Godzilla much bigger than a blue whale?

On earth it's zero

Do bluewhales breath radiation and fight robots?

Square-cube law

bones and food

blue whales couldn't exist on land
also yes it's much bigger

Only if that planet had ;

Figuratively infinite food

Fucked up gravity

Other fucked up animals and a fuck tone of time to drive such obscene evolution

what about sauropods.

Godzilla is retardedly big. At least the usual Godzilla is way bigger than the one depicted in that New York movie.

Sustaining that much mass would require even a more retarded amount of food in a retardedly small amount of time

Make bones and muscles differently, problem solved. Fuck your "i now meth im smrt" meme.

They already did exist so 1.

Cell size isn't random, it is the precise ratio of surface area to volume that has the optimal properties a cell needs, enough volume to contain all the things yet not large enough for diffusion and other transport mechanisms to not work

supporting such a large organism is virtually impossible with the physical laws and properties on our planet and the way evolution has developed life on earth

First of all in order to supply each cell with nutrition it needs, the organism would have to have a massive powerful pump to pump tons and tons of blood around the body all the time, so the logical solution would be larger cells but those can't exist due to the previously mentioned square-root law
Second of all the energy expenditure of the being would be immensely inefficient, it would need a powerful breathing mechanism to feed it's oxygen need, but yet just to inhale and exhale would consume so much of the precious O2/sugar/ATP the rest needs it just wouldn't be sustainable
Godzilla's legs probably weight tens of tons on their own and just moving around to hunt would consume more than the hunt could provide

Perhaps if the creature had numerous lungs and hearts spread around the body it could function
But in general such large creatures shouldn't and most likely don't exist anywhere in the universe

>COUGHbrainlet
You mean on a small enough planet that somehow retained a dense oxygen rich atmosphere despite very low gravity.

How fucking large do you think blue whales are?

bones don't hold under the weight if you make them proportionally larger

Profound autism

Y'all say this.

Tomorrow morning a fuck huge godzilla is gonna rise on the east coast.

An animal that big would be incapable of movement, not to mention it would suffocate under its own weight.

No where near as big as godzilla you absolute retard

I'll bet you $5 and all my baseball cards that youre wrong.

plus a large enough food source to support a population before the entire species goes extinct (gotta evolve from something).

Everyone seems to be missing the point. Godzilla is an "I" a single individual. Population dynamics show that almost all vertebrate species need at least 30 members of mixed sexes to survive for any length of time. Godzilla by himself would not have survived as there are no instances of any animal hibernating or not, surviving for that long of time. A cool fiction when we were hiding underneath desks waiting to be blown to nuclear bits but biologically thought out, nope...

$5 nigga, pay up
