Why live? Whatever book doesn't do this ALWAYS has my preference when buying.
Why do you care?
I like my books to have a timeless look. When they print some journalist who i couldn't care less about his opinion on the cover it just reeks of cheapness to me.

Those are usually the mass print edition, usually there will be several versions printed. Where do you usually shop?
sorry for saying usually three times, I don't actually read so my vocabulary is terrible and I'm tired as fuck
>book has a cover
My country's version of amazon. I know most books have proper hardcover clean prints but as a poor student i'll have to bite my tounge for now.
It's just a stupid pet peeve feeling of mine anyway. I've switched to ebooks for everything but history books.
This. Honestly I'm even on the fence about spines.
Isn't there a large market for second hand books in your country?
I've fished so many classics out of charity shop bargain bins for 50p a pop that I've gotten quite a respectable collection.
Lmao, no, I find those low-vocab quirks fascinating. Shows the pattern of mistakes high-vocabers will also fall into - but less obviously
Yeah there are some second hand book shops but i prefer English prints. Rare to find those.
Living in the Netherlands fyi.
