My mother sent me this article and said 'no more coconut'. Got mad, saw red for 20 mins straight. Only thing i could think of was how to prove her wrong. Took my shirt off n lathered myself up head to toe while lightly beating my chest as i uttered the phrase 'its just part and parcel' over and over again under my breath. Cant remember what happened next but i woke up on the kitchen floor clutching my stash like they were my children

So is this stuff actually bad for us or not?

Yo

>Read a peer reviewed article by doctors saying Coconut Oil is not as healthy as first thought
>Better ask Veeky Forums's opinion

Due to its high levels of saturated fat (~85%) most medical organizations say intake should be limited or avoided

>o is this stuff actually bad for us or not?

The article is correct.

But who cares? You consume oil in small amounts. Whether it's bad for you or not isn't really relevant given the tiny amounts we're talking about.

>american heart association
>peer reviewed
>the same AHA that told us processed sugar was good
lol

hahah

hahahahhahahahahhahahahah

holy shit you arent being saracastic or ironic either

HAHAHAHAHAHHAHHAHHAHAHAHHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

Those are some hot opinions you got there.

>listening to americans when it comes to nutrition

>peer reviewed article by doctors
you dont exist

NIGGAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

FAT IS BAD BUT SUGAR IS GREAT! xD

AHA is garbage/10 paid shills just another product of "publish or perish" and has the same integrity of the "Gatorade Sports Science Institute."

OH shit Gatorade basically is just sugar water and hydrates you worse than water? HAHA NOT ANYMORE WE PAID SOME SCIENTISTS TO DO RESEARCH AND MASSAGED THE PROCESS UNTIL THEY HIT OUR DESIRED HYPOTHESIS XD

Fucking phony science is such a plague and it's not even adressed. In school if you hypothesis was wrong you had to start over again but in the "professional" world the results only have to line up with who's paying you.

the AHA are actual literal paid shills though

i ignored this shit

are you actually expecting me to believe eating less than a tablespoon of this oil a day by using it to fry my FARM EGGS FROM THE YARD is going to detrimentally effect my health? its from a fucking coconut. how is using pressed olive oil or canola oil or that shit that comes in a spray can any better???

fuck the AHA

cocksuckers have been misleading people for many years so i dont take anything they say into consideration except to do the opposite of what they recommend

if u actually believe eating the pressed and unrefined oil from a coconut is somehow terrible for you in tiny quantities, you're an idiot

Bad for you, but it's one of the best vegetarian oils to fry with. The saturated fat helps there.

so should i stop putting this shit in my coffee?

please respond

See

This is why I don't believe in man.made climate change.

Name one instance of any medical body advocating consumption of refined sugar. The worst you'll find are a few recommending fruit juice.

Fuck so using it in a deep fryer was a bad idea then

Hi

carbsanity.blogspot.com/2015/06/if-fat-doesnt-make-you-fat-explain.html

Coco oil is high in saturated and trans fat and very low in poly-unsaturated fat.

Don't swallow BIG COCONUT'S lies

The only big coconuts here are swinging from my gigantic dick

not at all related to advocating consumption of refined sugar but just as bad imo npr.org/sections/thetwo-way/2016/09/13/493739074/50-years-ago-sugar-industry-quietly-paid-scientists-to-point-blame-at-fat

what?

Just eat a balanced diet and don't have too much of any one thing aside from green veg because that shit is cheap and mostly just fibre anyway.

Wow! You're cool.

Yes. It's bad for you.
It doesn't even taste good. It's just a shitty meme promoted by people obsessed with Indian and Thai food.

>tells us for decades that fats are evil and we need to eat more carbs
>"oops looks like everyone has diabetes now and kids' teeth are rotting out of their heads maybe you shouldn't exclusively use sugar for flavor"

>tells us for decades that dietary cholesterol is evil and we need to not eat high cholesterol foods
>"oops dietary cholesterol doesn't actually effect blood cholesterol in any meaningful way"

>tells us for decades that salt is evil and we need to cut back on salt to stop heart disease
>"oops it looks like salt doesn't really increase the risk of heart disease significantly"

Why should ANYONE listen to these retards?

>Why should ANYONE listen to these retards?

It's called "making progress".

Remember that it wasn't very long ago that "doctors" were trying to cure people via bloodletting and bizzare "medications" involving ground up animal parts.

Don't eat too many saturated fats. Don't eat too many simple carbohydrates. Eat unsaturated fats and complex carbohydrates.

yeah getting fat checks from the sugar industry to publish "studies" that benefit their interests is "making progress"

>HAHA NOT ANYMORE WE PAID SOME SCIENTISTS TO DO RESEARCH AND MASSAGED THE PROCESS UNTIL THEY HIT OUR DESIRED HYPOTHESIS XD
So literally every scientific 'study' ever then?
Science is flawed at its most basic level, deal with it.

coconut oil doesnt work like butter in coffee, as much as i wouldve liked that outcome

Why would it make any difference what oil/fat you add?

And this is why it is important to check the primary source in any "news" article.

Heating oil is retard tier. Use coconut oil raw.

Diet science is the most colossal bullshit there is. Literally nobody knows what's the "best diet" or whatever gay shit they're pushing. Don't eat to much, don't eat obviously shitty food, and move around every day. Done, you are now healthy.

but muh medium chain triglycerides

allopathic doctors are ebul

add me in the screencap

But user, that's much too reasonable.

I need a new scary-sounding chemical to blame all my health problems on, and I need a cool new diet fad that I can get on so I can look down on people who aren't on it.

Moderation and exercise are hard. I don't want to have to think about things. I just want to be able to say that I'm fat because of GLUTEN and that ORGANIC is going to fix me.

The AHA is doing this because of the mass murder of coconuts.
Don't be a butt, save the nut.

Fun fact, coconuts are not actually nuts but rather are technically berries.

try them both and you tell me

>canola oil is a genetically modified

>lowering LDL only reduced the risk of a heart attack by 25 percent.

fascinating

And the trips confirm the truth.
Lucky me, I'm way ahead of the game by the first week.

>coconuts are berries
Where were you when the entries for the Challenge were still coming up?

Climate change has always been happening but it's not 1) catastrophic and doesn't mean 2) we need to put in socialist policies justified by it. We account for about 5% of the earth's atmospheric carbon which isn't large but not insignificant either. The biggest problem is fucking algae and cows not people. Also the climate change debate is just the growing pains of a society that hasn't solved the energy problem (hydrogen fission being the best imo) but that doesn't make anybody money so it's not going to happen.

Essentially ya whoever funds you will heavily bias the results

>fucking algae and cows not people
It's mostly the meat industry to thank for the algae and cows.

Great thread!

Replacing animal fats with hydrogenated fats is what killed a generation of people

Take your trip off outside of your challenge thread or you're getting the filter.

This part was pretty comical because it was believable. Then you went into reddit-tier territory and it was no longer funny.

Better luck next time!
