Dominos

Dominos.

The ultimate scumbag.

Btw, that delivery fee is $4.00

that fee goes towards reimbursing their drivers for fuel.

The drivers got reimbursed for fuel beforehand too. This is mandated by corporate and is completely separate from delivery fee rises, which are almost never coincidental or proportional with mileage rises. (When I delivered for example, we went from 25 cents a mile/0 delivery fee with gas at $2, to 25c/50c fee with gas at $3, to 30c/$2 fee with gas at $4, and then gas prices dropped back to $2 so we got busted back down to 25c but the delivery fee still stayed at $2.)

Delivery fees are just the (((store owners))) finding new and innovative ways to make you pay more while stealing from their employees, the same as the in-store tip jars which are kept by the managers.

It's almost like they are trying to run a business.

it's straight-up fraud to the extent that even corporate goes out of their way to print warnings on the pizza boxes.

When i worked at pizza hut i found that every few years their drivers would file a class action suit for not getting enough reimbursement for fuel and maintenance. I dunno what dominos has going on, but I'm sure it's trying to cover that as well as at least enough to break even on drivers hourly pay. That being said, i imagine coastal states where you can't pay tipped positions less than minimum wage probably have a higher delivery charge.

Drivers still make like $12-15/hr, who fucking cares?

...

This isn't mandatory.
The franchises aren't forced to give the delivery fee to the driver for their expenses, most just pocket it.
It's literally free money.

The driver needs to speak up then, or find another job. The customer's contract is with the franchise, not the driver. You expect the franchise to take care of the driver.

If I go shopping at a supermarket, am I supposed to tip the checkout worker? I assume the supermarket compensates them for their work.

You deserve it for ordering Domino's.

So wal-mart, target, and like 95% of other places that make money aren't running a business?

don't we have enough tipping threads on this shithole board

>The driver needs to speak up then
And then guess what? 1. You get lol'd at or 2. You're fired. And then, get this: the people delivering that pizza need the fucking job, so they have no position to negotiate. Worker's rights are so dog shit terrible in the US that this is perfectly acceptable business practice.
>B-b-but business has rights too....
Lickat boot, shill. Lick all that shit right off, and wonder why so many people are actually getting into Socialism and Communism as ideologies.

What don't we have enough of that you would like to see?.

pepperoni hamburgers? never seen that one.
soy sauce champaigne? sounds new?.
beef orange juice? pretty original

>America

im a driver at dominos. we get $1.50 for gas per deliver which is more than enough. its all a scam but dont blame the drivers. we are just taking advantage of this companies fucked up sales methods

Here in Britbong, I ordered a pizza, from a local pizza place. I was 18 at the time, I remember the lad who delivered the pizza was really nice to me, he was a 20 something student, so I gave him £5 as a tip. If you're here ginger lad from Liverpool, (the chances of that are astronomical) I like you.

yo it's me, thank you so much for that insane tip it made me so happy to have money for food
things, things have been tough lately, but sometimes I see a £5 note and it takes me back to that wonderful delivery

I consider deliver charge part of the tip. If I order $20 worth of food and it had a $4 delivery charge, the driver is getting a $1 tip.

Don't like it? I don't care. Tipping culture is retarded and I don't support it.

>"Tipping culture is retarded and I don't support it."
>still tips

Do Americans really do this?

The bottom 10% of society works as delivery drivers. You piss them off and you'll wind up getting 2 weeks worth of smegma smeared on your pizza

Dont you think you deserve to pay more for being such a lazy fatass faggot? When buying fast food, you do it for convenience yes? What more convenience than having someone deliver it to you?

We do pay more. That's what the delivery surcharge is.

>ordering over priced junk takeaway.

They deserve to get that dose of bodily fluids. Only degenerates order takeaway as a common thing.

I'm sorry pal. I don't know what I can do to make your life easier, I gave you that note because you were really nice to me.

Niggers plz,

I work for a locally run pizza place. $1.70 delivery fee and the most ive ever seen a driver get paid is $9/hr and thats only because he has worked there forever. The delivery charge doesnt go anywhere except to pay for the companys insurance covereage for their drivers. But it isnt "for" their drivers. Its for the company its self to employ them and to help with any backlash they get when an accident occurs

>awesomeness
The ultimate cringe Reddit word.
So glad I'm not American

First off you're ordering shit pizza, so you have bad taste. Second you're so lazy you're having that shitty pizza delivered to your door. And you're complaining about the cost of it? Where did you get the idea that being lazy and having bad taste was supposed to be cheap?

That's gotta be regional.

I forget the exact amount, but dominoes delivery fees for me are way less.

I pick mine up most of the time because the dominos in my town is like five minutes away.

>ordering Dominoes

What kind of irrelevant one horse cesspit do you live in that doesn't have independent pizza places?

>orders from Domino's
>doesn't tip

t.negorid

If you want delivery you tip the driver. If you don't want to tip, get your fat ass off the couch and pick up your own pizza
