It is not projection. Let me give you a blast to the past from when I was a teen because there was a time I felt very isolated by women and I spent my days on /r9k/.
The problem is *PROPAGANDA*. Things like Disney movies, romantic comedies, romance anime (not all of them). They portray a weird version of women that does not actually exist in the real world. They portray a version of women that likes the most caring and thoughtful around them.
In the real world, things aren't like that. First things first, that version of women is outright contradictory in the real world. Women in the real world are not at all willing to even give you the time of day to learn about your personality, so even if you are caring and thoughtful they would never figure it out.
And you know, don't get me wrong. Obviously if you are a woman there is no way you can keep up with the feelings of every man around you. That is not your burden or whatever. But the thing is that many men fall for that and then they become the friendzone bois. The astronauts. The orbiters. The cucks. And they never get any pussy, even though pussy is all they want because they are retarded teens.
That said, I think that women have most of the blame here. Women, in general, care about a very narrow set of things that immediately isolates any man who doesn't do sport, keep up with fashion, do drugs, drink alcohol and other things of that sort. Immediately. If you do not do those things you are almost 100% guaranteed to not lose your virginity in your teens. And this contrasts with the diversity of hobbies that men tend to have.
