Vronsky and Anna's. Perhaps because it illustrates perfectly Henry James' abiding fear relating to the unspoken long term 'effects' of any romance. What goes up comes down, and the reverse. In other words, Vronsky, such an asshole at first, concludes as a more than sympathetic character. Whereas Anna, sadly, does not. We all know Time ravages, and that what saves Vronsky is that the novel concludes when it does. Blah blah blah.
