>engineer in Arizona

>He basically wants to die, however, the AI makes a deal with the aliens and forces him into eternal torture
>his pain and suffering knows no bounds as his grotesquely huge brain is forced into a nightmarish cycle of suffering
>epilogue: the AI manifests itself into corporeal form and takes a crew of humans into space on a massive starship, to found a new human world since earth is basically fucked at this point
>novel ends with the AI setting up the new colony, then erasing itself completely

Even for genre fiction that is retarded on every level

how so

I can't be bothered to address all the points but the first and most obvious is that some random engineer wouldn't be able to reverse engineer an iPhone without specialist tools and knowledge. Even unrealistic SF acknowledges that it would take decades to reverse engineer alien tech when done by the best scientists and engineers a superpower can muster.

Every single bit of information about the spaceship is stored onboard the ship computer system. The AI also helps him and describes the inner workings of the ship and how the technology works. He doesn't really reverse engineer it, he just disassembles parts of it to make his power suit. It's very simple tbqh. Even a medieval peasant would be able to understand how a modern APC works, once someone explained it to him, and take the gun off the turret to shoot people with.

sorry no greentext

short story about the progessing mental breakdown of the protagonist following the diagnose of alzheimer disease of his spouse

Comedy about a holocaust survivor becoming a holocaust denier. His big plan is to destroy Auschwitz by stealing a single brick every day so nobody notices.

A random engineer will not be able able to understand how to create the parts required for an alien space ship even if there is an alien telling him how.

He doesn't actually create the technology- he just messes with it. Once he figures out how to activate the worker drones, they self replicate and can build technology by themselves

How convenient for him.

Are you from reddit? Why do you feel the need to autistically question the advanced alien technology that I literally made up?

Because it's bad writing. Aliens just happen to crash with a ship that's easy to steal and re-purpose for human use. It's like something from a 50's superhero origin story.

Dude, it's fucking fiction. If it was supposed to be real, there would be no aliens in the first place. B.ack to r.eddit with you

Wow.

>fat, meek, dumb, cowardly and egregiously inane kid stumbles through life and the many markedly poignant tragedies that plague him before he reaches a turning point at the age of 18 where he sets on a quest for edification, fitness, intellectual legibility, popularity, and general acclaim among his peers
>spanning across several years, documenting his many studies, accolades, indulgences, sexual conquests, and acquaintances. It particularly follows him as he strives to tie himself with a girl, only for her to disappear due to his rampant promiscuity but always holding a special place among his contemporaries. When he becomes older and is slowing in all cases, he realises that his best years are behind him and that everything from here on out will be objectively worse than what he has already experience, and so he endeavors to win that girls favour again as one last testament to his being before expiring back into meekness and docility which troubled his childhood, only to find she rejects him at every turn, and so ends with him killing himself after failing to come to terms with the realisation that his life is now doomed to be a husk of the prior years, and the one thing he truly cared for during that turbulent time wants nothing to do with him

>typical medieval fantasy with castles and dragons and unicorns BUT WAIT everything's all robotic and sci-fi for some reason
>story follows our heroes, who are some of the last humans left in the world, as they set out on a typical epic quest
>bunch of adventure stuff happens and eventually they reach the end and find the legendary artifact or get sucked into a magical portal or something like that
>the heroes wake up in sleep capsules in an old run down laboratory and realize they were in a simulation the whole time
>they explore the lab and find a robotic AI which was responsible for maintaining the simulation
>in the AI's memory they find nothing but works by Tolkien and other medieval fantasy authors
>they begin freeing the other people in the capsules but the AI notices and becomes hostile so they destroy it
>the survivors step out of the lab into what they presume is the real world only to find that its a normal non-sci-fi medieval fantasy world

This actually sounds very entertaining to read.

I mean like a shit story written by a shitty man with shitty creativity.

>Really feeling myself at that moment, the sensation is even better then sex
>Suddenly I find out that this was all a dream.
>It's late and I'm awake

Idea that's been bouncing around my head, tell me how shit it is.

>cyberpunk near-future, not super out-there but corporatism is stronger and PMC's are widely employed
>main characters are a mercenary who embraces the corporate future as a lesser evil and a rebel who moved from a city to a farmtown and fights for traditional localism
>the two progressively become aware of each other, they fight viciously but more and more see it as a tragic conflict of flawed ideologies
>story probably ends with the mercenary killing the rebel who's trying to bomb something and explaining the situation to his family

Lol'd

unbelievable xD

This could be cool of you nailed the surreal/fabulist elements and didn't try to preach too much about the limits of reality.

Holy...I want more

>tfw no gf

how did i do guys?

>Delinquent girl
>Feared across school for being violent at the drop of a pin. Constantly covered in bruises and bandages, even some teachers who don't know her personally know her reputation
>Joke is obviously that she never purposefully gets into these situations
>Bruises come from the fact she volunteers to teach baseball or some shit and the kids are trash - gets smashed in the face trying to teach them proper swings, cuts from going trekking or hiking
>Jokes ensue regarding the complicated situations she gets into which only further push her into infamy
>Surrounded by group of actual delinquents, constantly puts on the facade that she is this brutal ringleader since she's in too deep.

I have no idea what kind of conflict would take place. More than likely other groups trying to weasel in on her territory or some people figuring out her honest personality and attempting to blackmail her.

Since I'm not much of a writer, I'd never think to upload it - but at least I'm slowly adding parts to it as time goes on rather than abandoning it.

>i got to OPs home

it's a cheeky memoir desy :^)

Why would I bother writing a novel, you pseud fuck?

This is great, too bad I'm stealing your idea now.

that's ok

wasn't planning on using it anyway

It might give you a break from obsessively browsing the the m4m ads on craigslist and desperately trying to find D&D partners, hoping for the day when you'll find someone who is both.

I call it The Holy Bible

i like it

Heres another one of mine
>Title: "toxteth"
>Year 2054
>National governments are hollow shells if not gone altogether, massive corporations rule everything
>Little semblance of law and order, "progress" as a concept has been abandoned
>Most people live in massive megacities, think blade runner but more fucked up and less centralized power
>Story follows a group of young men born into wealthy neo-feudal corporate families
>Their last names are brand names like Jimmy Cola and Mav Fuckatron
>Every Saturday they descend from the posh penthouses of ivory city and meet up at a belowground bar
>The bar is private and strictly secured
>Inside are masks, guns, torture tools, and the latest and greatest in smart fabric technology (basically the equivalent of a suit of armour in medieval times, going with the feudal theme)
>They roam the streets and subsurface slums, rooting out "degenerates" and killing them
>Junkies, whores, sim addicts, fetishists, and single mothers are all targets
>They're always high on at least six different drugs at once

That's basically the premise, it's more about the setting and the idea of a bunch of young men executing reprobates than it is about the plot. I intend to really flesh out the world and characters, to make it feel real and plausible, but that isn't really enough to carry a novel so idk how far I'll get.

Kill yourself

>Man wakes up on spaceship
>Some accident has badly damaged it, automated systems kicked any survivors out of cold sleep
>Rapid defrost process has left them all with varying degrees of amnesia or dementia
>Main character has no recollection of who he was before he came aboard
>Ragtag team of survivors has to attempt to follow the instructions of the mangled and incoherent ship's AI and get the ship back to working order in time to flip it and perform a decel burn into orbit
>if they don't do it the ship will just fly off into the void and be lost forever
>as main character helps others and reconnects parts of the badly battered ship, he remembers snippets of who he was
>he was on the ship hunting a war criminal
>the war criminal is somewhere on the ship
>combination of signs of sabotage and some unfortunate happenings that are just a little too unfortunate indicate that the war criminal is among the survivors
>main character doesn't know who it is, has to work with everyone without giving away his objective of finding the bad guy
>as the ship gets closer and closer to the point where a decel burn wouldn't be enough to get them into a stable orbit

Also tempted to put a parallel plot line where portions of the security forces on the planet the ship is supposed to arrive at pick up the light of the accident and reconstruct the crime alongside the main character and co on the spacecraft.

Working title is "Mansion in the Void"

Talk about how a government is really just a corporation with a very impressive PR campaign and that this was "just another inevitability" or whatever.

If you could get inside the heads of the guys cleaning out the degeneracy and see if you can't get on both sides of that moral divide I think it could be pretty good.

this sounds more like a comic book
