bump

A monkey paw.

Dragonscale gauntlets.

Use a towel, dumbfuck

A wet towel, provides more insulation.

>not using your barehand until you develop callouses

I should have clarified. If you use a wet towel, you will regret it.

>tfw I used a wet towel earlier by mistake

let me clarify I know wet towel + hot pan = ouch but I was in thoughts and didnt notice it was hot

What happens if you use the wet towel?

You burn yourself

These are handy. I just use an oven mit or whatever rag is there.

A towel filled with water instead of air will transfer much more heat to your hand.

I take cheap square pot holders, fold in half, and stitch two sides.

You ever lube one of those up?

Do it while it's cold

Sorry you are poor.

Holy fuck, that's brilliant. I just checked tho... they are definitely too tight and probably not deep enough.

Grab a hot pan's handle with a wet towel and you will figure it out for yourself.

steam happens inside your hand
steam is fucking hot

He meant lube up the outside.

I use one of these, that a friends daughter made. it works great, not to big

I have a couple of ove' gloves. They work great.

If you really want to protect your hands and need protection past 900F, use these:

Asbestos panels cut down with a hacksaw to fit fingers and palms, 3 small bits × 10 to accommodate finger and thumb bending and 3 × 2 triangular parts to accommodate palm movement, any spare asbestos can be crafted to fit your foot soles for walking on coals.

>Stupid questions

A tool used for weaving? Wouldn't the plastic melt and burn your hands?

really?

Yea dude I can vouch for the Ove Glove. Nice product.

Really what? I looked into it after and melted plastic can cause 2nd degree burns.

You man up and grab that skillet.
If I can do it so can you.

barehand it until your hand deforms and forms scar tissue which is resistant to heat

it gets hot qicker and you burn your hand. always use dry towels to grab hot stuff

>welding gauntlets
Pick up red hot steel if you're quick
